Before we dive into the tips and tricks, it’s important that you understand the reason these things are so effective is because they’re routed in strategy and basic marketing principles and fundamentals. That means that what we are going to cover is not only going to apply to your Facebook advertising, but also any YouTube ads, or to email marketing, or to any other pay-per-click, or direct response, or even content marketing…because the strategies and principles are all grounded in really solid research, and the way that humans make buying decisions. So, I just got back from a trip to a little town called Julian in California, which is about an hour/hour and a half outside of downtown San Diego. Now in Julian they’re famous for a couple different pie shops and we ended up at Apple Alley, where the lineup was out the door, and it took a really long time to get a piece of pie, but that’s part of the marketing, and the pie was absolutely phenomenal. In fact, some of the best apple pie I’ve ever had, but the reason that we ended up choosing this one was because, not only did it have a ton of reviews, and there was a ton of people talking about how good it was, but also that line-up out the door signified that this place was worth waiting for. That is the power of social proof, and one of the key things that you’ll want to leverage in your Facebook advertising. Basically, the principle of social proof says that what other people like, you’re probably going to like too. In the case of a Facebook ad, what this means is you want to create one ad ideally, and leverage the social proof anytime you’re creating new ad sets or new campaigns, by going to the page post and using that ad rather than creating new ads from scratch. And that’s going to lead us nicely into point number 2: When you’re creating your Facebook ads, you’re going to want to increase the engagement on that ad. Not only to others looking at the ad that “this is worth interacting with”, but also to Facebook. Right now, Facebook is prioritizing engagement on their ads. They want to see people engaging with the content, sharing it, liking it, writing comments, and having a conversation, which will keep people on the Facebook platform as long as possible, which is going to help Facebook, and they will show your ad to more people for less money. Next, the way to do this is to write your ad in a casual and really conversational way. The best way to write conversational ad copy is to have a conversation. Have a friend ask you questions about your business and record the answers on your phone, then transcribe it, and you’ve got the basis for some pretty good copy. Tell a story if you can, make it relatable, and don’t be afraid to include some emotion into the ad copy. The next thing we need to do is focus in on our targeting, and who we’re trying to put this perfect ad in front of. That comes down to leveraging look-alike audiences. All a look-alike audience is, is a customer/client list, or traffic from your website or email list, uploading that to Facebook, and then telling Facebook to go out there and find you more people just like that. The final piece of the puzzle is finding the perfect image for your ad. So when you’re trying to find that perfect image, You want to make sure that it captures attention, but it also tells a story. Number one, you want to make sure to leverage social proof whenever possible, by using the same ad across all of your different ad campaigns and ad sets. Next, you want to do everything you can to increase engagement, because engagement is what tells Facebook that this ad is really valuable, people are liking seeing it, and they’re going to interact with the content. Next, you want to remember to write your ad with a conversational tone. Next, you want to do everything in your power to quickly build up, and then leverage look-alike audiences. The way Google AdWords works is every time someone clicks on your ads; you pay money. So if you want to improve your quality score, you have to do a few simple things. Number one, target very specific keywords. Don't do broad match. If you go after particular keywords by doing the exact match, what'll happen is your ads will only show up for that particular keyword or phrase. When you go too broad, you're going to end up paying more per click because Google's going to be showing your ads to a lot of people who aren't clicking. The next tactic that you need to be following is negative keywords. For example, let's say you're selling computers. When someone types in Apple because you're also a reseller of Apple computers, you may want to add the negative keyword of food. Because if you show up for ads related to Apple and someone's looking for the food, you're going to be wasting money per click, your quality score is going to go down, and your ad costs are going to go through the roof. So make sure you add in negative keywords. Third, group your ppc keywords. What I mean by grouping is a lot of your keywords are similar to each other. Put those in one group. So the higher your click-through rate, the cheaper your ads will be. And the higher your click-through rate, the better your quality score is going to be. The fourth tip I have for you continues to optimize your ad text. If your ad texts get more click-through than the competitors, your cost per click is going to go down, and your quality score is going to go up. By testing, you're going to be able to figure out what works and what doesn't work. If you're unsure of this, look at your competitors. Type in a keyword. You can see the ad texts that other people are using at the top. Usually, the people at the top have appealing ad text and which is getting a ton of clicks. If you can't find a ton of examples when you're searching a keyword, go to SEMrush, put in a keyword, and it'll show you the history of all the people who have been bidding on that keyword and what their ad copy was. Last but not least, optimize your landing page. If your landing page is fantastic when people go click through on your ad, go to your landing page, and buy, your quality score is going to go up. If your landing page sucks and people keep bouncing back off, well, Google's going to ding your quality score. The way you can landing page is, A, put your keywords on that landing page. So if someone Googles the keyword marketing and your landing page also shows marketing, you're much more likely to keep the visitor on there and convert. B, continually run tests using Crazy Egg. Using Crazy Egg, you can see where people are getting stuck on your landing page, what they like, how far down they're scrolling, and what you can improve on that page to create a better user experience. That's it. Follow all those techniques and tactics, and you're going to be able to improve your Google AdWords quality score and your inbound marketing efforts.

Most of it falls into two basic types. Paid search advertising This is the largest advertising category, dominated by Google. Advertisers pay to have their ads displayed to users as they type queries into search engines. The ads usually appear as links in the search engine results pages. Display advertising This is the next most popular form of online advertising. Ad banners appear on Google and websites in various sizes, positions and formats, including text, images, and rich media. They can be displayed to all visitors, or their display can be triggered by the visitor’s profile, location or interests to make them more relevant and effective. The emerging power of social media advertising While most online advertising has traditionally run on search engines and websites, social networks including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, are emerging as powerful channels to run advertising. Most of the ads they offer are types of display ads, but because they know a lot about their users’ demographics, interests and online activities, they are proving very effective at targeting ad messages and generating leads. This opens up effective new advertising possibilities for book marketers. Search engine advertising is part of a larger field called search engine marketing (SEM). We’ve looked at one part of this field, search engine optimization (SEO), in which marketers try to beat the search engine’s algorithms so that their listings appear high up on the first page of search results for their chosen keywords. You can’t buy a higher ranking on these pages and this method is also referred to as organic search to distinguish it from paid search in which you can pay for your listing to appear when a visitor searches for a keyword. So, here’s how paid search advertising works. You, the advertiser, choose keywords and phrases that will trigger your ad. You buy these ads in an online auction by bidding for the keywords on a cost-per-click basis. That is, you agree to pay only when your ad is clicked on, not based on how many times it is seen. When a search engine user types a query that includes your keywords, your ad pops up at the top or side of the results page, in a section labeled ‘ads’ or ‘sponsored listings’. If the user clicks your ad, you pay. You limit your spending by specifying a daily budget limit. Your bid price determines whether your ad appears, and in which position – higher bids run near the top. Ad networks Most online display advertising is sold through ad networks which represent groups of websites to advertisers. It is particularly prevalent in the market for smaller advertisers and websites. The ad networks also take care of the distribution and tracking of ads. The largest ad network is Google AdWords which operates a global ad network. Amazon is building an ad network — expect advertising to feature more prominently in Amazon’s future — and there are many smaller networks. These are often country-specific or serving vertical markets, and there is rising interest in mobile networks which serve ads to mobile devices. But perhaps the most important recent development in online display advertising is the rise of social media advertising. We will create a campaign with the different types of targeting options available. After you have your campaign settings good to go, you need to set-up the targeting you want to choose. There are a ton of different targeting options on the Google Display Network. You can target Interest Audiences, Intent Audiences, Keywords, Placements, Websites, Mobile Apps, Videos, YouTube Video channels, and more. There is no limit to what you can target your ads to on the Display Network. At the end of the day though, you want to make sure you are targeting audiences that will convert and drive leads, sales, and revenue to your business. You can also use Google Display Advertising to target your Remarketing audiences, customer match lists, YouTube viewers, App users, and create custom combinations of people. We like to layer some of the demographics available on the Display Network with our other targeting. Since you can target age groups 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+, you can reach the age groups that are most impactful for your business. You can target male and female genders. You can target based on household income, so if you only want to reach the top 10% of U.S. households based on Yearly earnings, you can narrow it down to those people. You can also target parents or non-parents depending on the products and services you are advertising. Once you are done with targeting, you need to select your Google Display Ads next. You have a choice between Responsive ads that will adjust sizes based on the ad unit it is filling on the Google Display Network. We love responsive ads because you just upload a 1200x1200 and a 1200x628 along with several logos. In addition, you will need to add a final URL, short headline, long headline, and description. The other banner ads we like to upload are sized 300x250, 160x600, 728x90, 468x60, 300x50, 320x50, and 300x600. We go through all of the different ad sizes in the video so you can upload the right ads. Final Thoughts: The best Google Display Advertising strategies I can give you is to measure all of your conversion data, create multiple responsive and banner ads, test different targeting types, track everything, and closely match your targeting to you Google Display ads to your landing pages so you can achieve optimal results from display ppc advertising with Google AdWords.

That's a bunch of BS. Today, I'm going to share with you how I built a six-figure business in 90 days using Facebook ads and how you can too. Sign up for Facebook Ads then sign up for Webinar Jam. Webinar jam is a webinar software that allows you educate and sell people online. You see all these ads on YouTube and Facebook for people saying, 'register for my webinar.' Why do you think they're doing them? It's because it's an easy way to make money, and I hate to say it most of the people who are doing this, suck at everything other than selling on the webinar. They don't have that many skills. Why don't I do it anymore? I don't care for the money, but I'll share with you how you can do it step by step, so the first thing, as I mentioned, sign up for Webinar Jam. Webinar Jam is a software that allows you to do a webinar and sell on there. They also have this other software called EverWebinar, which you'll also need, and it allows you to do a webinar once, but make it recorded so that way your webinar continuously seems like you're holding a new one every 15 minutes. So, people can sign up and then join your webinar. Now that you've got your webinar up and running and going create a webinar. The webinar can be on anything, how to create an Amazon business, how to do something that you're good at. Something that other people want to learn. So with your webinar, the first part is educating. The first 30 to 40 minutes of your webinar presentation should be educating. Showing tips, techniques, strategies that they haven't seen before. And then after you did that you're like, 'Hey, did you like these techniques?' Did you think they were amazing? There are amazing techniques, but I have ones that are way better. Would you like to hear those? Do I have your permission? And the reason you are asking their permission, is because you're asking them, hey, can I sell you something in other words, right? Then, on the webinar, sell it to them for a price. The price could be a thousand bucks. Usually, you want to have somewhere between $500 and a thousand five hundred. But the price that you choose has to be discounted. So, if you're selling it for $500, the original price needs to be $2000, $3000, or whatever it may be. With Webinar Jam, you can also put a countdown clock. Right in their settings, they break down that you can put a timer. When you put a timer, it tells people that this offers only valid until the end of this webinar or the next week, or whatever you decide that you want to end up using. And when you do that, people know time sensitive. And when it's time sensitive, they're much more likely to buy instead of thinking if they want to buy. Now that you've got the webinar up and running, you want to drive traffic. Through Webinar Jam, you can just throw up a landing page, get people to opt-in. You want to keep it simple. Maybe have an image of you. Tell people what they are going to expect on the webinar, and then an opt-in. And then when there's opt-in, you can use Twilio, people will get a text reminder, and they'll start joining. And then as they join and they show up to the webinar, you'll start getting sales. And when you are having your webinar timing so when they can sign up and listen to it, make sure you have a webinar that starts every 15 minutes. Remember, it's recorded, you don't have to be in the webinar every 15 minutes. Instead, other people can just join whenever they want, that means that when you're sleeping, you could be making money. How to Make Money With Facebook Ads - The Numbers And you give you a rough idea; I was selling a thousand dollar product. For every hundred webinar registrations, I would get 3.6 sales, and roughly 20% would refund. I would still make well over $2000, and for those hundred webinar registrations in general, I would be paying six bucks per webinar registration. So, that means I'm spending $600 to make more than $2000, right, I don't know what the exact math works out to, but I think it's around like $2500, or $2800, after refunds or even three grand, whatever it may be. But the point I'm trying to say is, the math works out well. Facebook advertising can be extremely lucrative if you have the right Facebook marketing strategy.

So if you want to improve your CTR you need to: 1. Use SEMrush - put in keywords and competitors in SEMrush. This will show you the ad text your competitors are using. If your competitors are constantly using a specific ad text, it usually means it converts well for them. 2. Create better copy than your competitors - look at what they use and try to come up with better variations. 3. Use keywords within your copy - if you include the keyword people are searching for in your ad copy you are more likely to get clicks. The copy needs to sound good, just adding a keyword isn't enough. 4. Start day parting - if you are in the B2B space people are more likely to become customers during normal business hours. So only show your ads when your ideal customers are online. For the B2C space, you can consider running your ads during all hours of the day. 5. Geo target - if you are only doing business in a certain region, then show ads only within those regions. This will help increase your overall CTR, which will reduce your ad costs.

He finds that it is hard with Google filters to make it to the inbox and people are just not even really checking their emails, so he's not even convinced that he should use email marketing with his agency. 0:30 First off, anytime a business operates, they need email. Yes, there's Slack, there's Skype, there are many other communication channels, but businesses still revolve around email, and if businesses still use it, you can bet that if you get an email in their inbox and they read it, you can generate sales. 1:00 For that reason, emails aren't going away. Gmail ads are growing in revenue, more and more people every single quarter are leveraging Gmail ads just because they know emails are powerful. So the first part of your question is, are emails valuable, yes. I know that's not directly what you answered, but the second part, which I'll get to is, do they still work, yes, because people still read emails. 1:50 GDPR has come out, and with GDPR, and I love it you have to put a little tick box saying, yes I authorize you to send me weekly emails. So that way they know what they're getting into and you'll find that that increases your open rates because the people who click that tick box want your emails. 2:15 The second thing that most people don't tell you with email marketing is, you need to scrub your list. If you have 100,000 email list, and that's usually the threshold, once you hit 100,000 you're going to notice that your email open rates just start tanking and it's because people don't clean their lists often enough, I clean my list monthly. And some email providers do this like ConvertKit does this I don't think MailChimp does this, but I think MailChimp wants you to keep paying out money for the inactive emails. 2:45 The whole purpose of cleaning the emails are for the people who aren't opening your emails and engaging, you just stop sending them emails. And by doing that yes your email list shrinks, but what you'll find is, the people you send the emails to the engagement goes up, and Gmail and Outlook look at engagement more than anyone else and it's a really high priority, for if they're going to put the email in the inbox and if you're only sending emails to majority of the people open it and you start having 20-30% open rates, you'll notice that your emails go into the inbox versus the Promotion tabs. 4:00 Don't use email templates, use text-based emails and add in links. You also don't wanna add more than three links to your site; I try only to do one. If you add in too many, you're going to notice that you also won't see amazing deliverability. 4:15 Make sure you whitelist your emails. So go to AOL, they whitelist, you can use services like Return Path. Outlook and Gmail don't do whitelist services. But if you follow these tips, you'll be good to go. And you'll get in the inbox. 4:30 Make sure you test creative subject lines like ones that your friends would send, lower case, things like hey did you see this, right? Of course, it needs to be relevant to your business or the offer you're producing, if you dupe people they're going to get upset, I'm giving you an extreme case so you can try to have the creative juices start flowing and come up with really good ideas.
