What US state is the best? People talk about the United States a lot. It’s a major world leader with the largest economy on the planet and the highest immigration rate in the world. It must be a great place to live, but like any country, it’s not the best at everything. We’re gonna look at what each state in the US is the best and worst at! TIMESTAMPS: New England 1:15 The Mid-Atlantic region 3:01 The South 4:31 Florida 6:06 The Midwest 8:24 Konsas 9:08 The Southwestern region 11:41 New Mexico 12:40 The westernmost region 13:00 #usastates #newyork #usafacts Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - Maine is the most well-behaved state, with the lowest rate of violent crime in the entire country. - Vermont is the best at gender equality when it comes to employment and income rates. - Connecticut’s residents have the cleanest teeth! Statistically speaking, they’re the most responsible about visiting the dentist regularly. - New York not only has the most densely populated city in America, it’s also the homestate of the most presidents (7) and vice presidents (11). - New Jersey, despite being the butt of so many jokes, has the lowest suicide rate in the country. - Maryland has the best household income rates in the country at an average of $80,000 per year. - Virginia has the lowest asthma rate in the US. That must mean they have the cleanest air, right? Wrong! - West Virginia is the most equal state regarding education, race, and income level. However, only 19% of the population goes on to get a college degree. - Florida: great for vacationing, not so much for living! It’s got the most popular amusement park in not just the country but the whole world: Universal Orlando Resort. - Alabama is the best at college football: their universities have racked up 16 national championship victories. - Louisiana is famous for New Orleans and for the Port of South Louisiana. It’s the largest in the nation, overseeing 60% of the country’s grain exports. - Tennessee has the highest number of caves in the country, so if you’ve ever wanted to go spelunking, get a group together and head on over! But be careful not to hurt your mouth on your expeditions! - Kentucky’s another great place for exploring caves; they’ve got the longest cave system in the entire world! If you’re interested in checking it out, it’s Mammoth Cave National Park. - Kansas is the largest producer of wheat in the nation. Maybe all those endless flat wheat fields have something to do with the fact that this state is also ranked as having the ugliest natural scenery in the US. - North Dakota boasts the highest quality of life in America and the fastest growing economy. - Indiana is the best at high school basketball, but also has more meth labs than any other state. - Texas is the biggest state in the continental US, and as such produces the most energy and has the highest migration rate: over 1,000 people move to Texas each day. - Nevada makes more tax money from gambling than any other state in the country and has the highest rated nightlife. Japanese people are known for their intelligence, politeness, and wellness. Why is this nation so unique and different from the rest of the world? It seems we’ve found the answer – they have an incredibly cool education system and unique teaching methods! There is a unique method in Japanese schools for developing creativity in kids. We believe that the whole world needs to adopt it! It’s called “Nameless paints.” In this video, we'll tell you how it works. Watch till the end – there is a small but brilliant bonus for you. Other videos you might like: 15 Examples of Japanese Etiquette That Will Drive You Crazy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR-H7yr9Ceo& Why Japanese Are So Thin According to Science https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxsnYsA549Y& 8 Japanese Parenting Rules All Kids Need https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_gnpIs8qMo& TIMESTAMPS: “Nameless paints” 0:34 Manners before knowledge 2:58 The academic year starts on April 1st 3:33 Students clean their school themselves 4:18 School lunch is provided on a standardized menu 4:59 After-school workshops are very popular 5:32 Students learn Japanese calligraphy and poetry 6:15 Students have to wear school uniform 6:50 The school attendance rate is about 99.99% 7:23 A single test decides the students’ futures 7:55 College years are the best ’holidays’ in life 8:32 SUMMARY: - “Nameless paints” includes ten tubes that don’t have color names such as “yellow,” “blue,” or “green.” Instead, there are only spots of a particular color or colors on each tube. As you can see, the spots are also different sizes. - In Japanese schools, students don’t take any exams until they reach grade four (the age of 10). The goal for the first three years of school is not to judge the child’s knowledge, but to establish good manners and to develop their character. - While most schools in the world begin their academic year in September or October, in Japan, it is April that marks the start of the academic and business calendar. The first day of school often coincides with one of the most beautiful natural phenomena — the time of cherry blossom. - In Japanese schools, students have to clean the classrooms, cafeterias, and even toilets all by themselves. Most Japanese schools do not employ janitors or custodians. - All classmates eat in their classroom together with the teacher. This helps build positive teacher-student relationships. - To get into a good junior high school, most Japanese students enter a preparatory school or attend private after-school workshops. - Japanese calligraphy, or Shodo, involves dipping a bamboo brush in ink and using it to write hieroglyphs on rice paper. - While some schools have their attire, traditional Japanese school uniform consists of a military style for boys and a sailor outfit for girls. - At the end of high school, Japanese students have to take an exam that determines their future. A student can choose one college they would like to go to, and that college has a particular score requirement. - Having gone through ‘examination hell,’ Japanese students usually take a little break. In this country, college is often considered the best years of a person’s life. Sometimes, Japanese people call this period a ‘vacation’ before work. Processed Food Documentary: Processed Food vs. Nutritional Needs. The human body runs on food. Once, food shortage was the major concern. After the second world war, technological advances in food production led to a new era, that was characterized by an overabundance of inexpensive food, and relatively little physical activity. In the decades that followed, other sociocultural shifts continued to contribute to the changing way we ate. Women who had previously controlled most of the average family's food preparation now entered the workforce in significant numbers. And the processed food industry began to capitalize on our need for fast, convenient food. This meant that fewer meals were being cooked at home. And since convenience foods were generally higher in calories than home-cooked meals, the average person's caloric intake increased dramatically. Maya Adam, MD, is waging a battle cry against one of America’s most critical – and challenging – public health crises of our generation: childhood obesity. A lecturer at Stanford School of Medicine and in Stanford University’s human biology program, she is leading the cause through education. As always, use this info to gather more info. Vegan Nutrition: Pure and Simple by Michael Klaper, M.D. Dr. Michael Klaper, is a gifted clinician, internationally recognized teacher, and sought-after speaker on diet and health. He has practiced medicine for more than 40 years and is a leading educator in applied plant-based nutrition and integrative medicine. He is also the author of a successful book on cholesterol-free nutrition and an upcoming title (to be announced in 2018), as well as numerous DVDs and Videos on Demand, a series of “Healthy YOU Webinars,” and dozens of articles. A source of inspiration advocating plant-based diets and the end of animal cruelty worldwide, Dr. Klaper contributed to the making of two PBS television programs Food for Thought and the award-winning Diet for a New America movie based on the book of the same name. Dr. Michael Klaper teaches that “Health Comes From Healthy Living” and is dedicated to the healing and flourishing of all living beings and our planet. Dr. Klaper graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago (1972), served a medical internship at Vancouver General Hospital in British Columbia, Canada with additional training in surgery, anesthesiology, and orthopedics at the University of British Columbia Hospitals in Vancouver and in obstetrics at the University of California Hospitals in San Francisco. As Dr. Klaper’s medical career progressed, he began to realize (true to what science is bearing out today) that many of the diseases his patients presented – clogged arteries (atherosclerosis), high blood pressure (hypertension), obesity, adult onset diabetes, and even some forms of arthritis, asthma, and other significant illnesses – were made worse or actually caused by the high sugar, high fat, high salt, overly processed Standard American Diet (S.A.D.). See Dr. Klaper’s 73-minute DVD and Video On Demand, “Salt, Sugar and Oil: Could Your Favorite Flavors Be Hurting You?” Accordingly, Dr. Klaper resolutely believes that proper nutrition (through a whole food, plant-based diet) and a balanced lifestyle are essential for health and, in many cases, can make the difference between healing an illness or merely treating its symptoms. To learn how to truly thrive on a plant-based diet, see Dr. Klaper’s 99-minute Video On Demand, “Thriving on a Plant-Based Diet.” In addition to his clinical practice and private consultations with patients, Dr. Klaper is a passionate and devoted educator of physicians and other healthcare professionals about the importance of nutrition in clinical practice. Dr. Michael Klaper served as the Director of the non-profit Institute of Nutrition Education and Research from 1992 through 2015, during which time he conducted a study focusing on people who ate a completely plant-based (vegan) diet. How to perfectly answer the "tell me about yourself" job interview question. For more in depth information, check out this article on our blog: https://theinterviewguys.com/tell-me-about-yourself-interview-question Most people screw the "Tell us about yourself" type job interview question up so watch our video to learn exactly what you need to do. Here's what you can expect from this Jeff and Mike Job interview tips video: This video uncovers 3 specific job interview tips when it comes to answering this tough interview question. The problem with the Tell me about yourself question is that it leaves things incredibly open ended and can lead job interviewees down a path that can lead to them being disqualified from the job within seconds! It's no surprise so many people are always trying to figure just how they should be answering this question, after all it's one of the most common opening questions you'll face at an interview. I know both Mike and I screwed up this question for years. As you'll see in the video, the interviewer doesn't care about your personal story. They're not interested in the fact that you grew up with a puppy named "Tex" and that you grew up in a sleepy town in Wisconsin... They want to know about your specific work achievements and strengths! Job interview questions are all about discovering whether you can bring to the position, exactly what they're looking for in terms of abilities and qualities. Ones that are going to benefit the company you are interviewing with. Here are some excerpts from the video: Jeff's bad answer: "Well, I'm from Seattle, Washington, I enjoy mountain biking and cooking and my favorite color is..." Jeff's good answer: Well, I've been in sales for the last 5 years. My most recent experience was in the retail industry, where I was a manager at the Comfy Shoe Company. I was personally responsible for a 30% increase in sales over the last year. I'd say that my main strength is my leadership ability, which was evident in the way I mentored my sales team to reach our lofty goals. What I am looking for is a company that values teamwork and the group dynamic, where I can join a strong team and have a positive impact on the team dynamic and sales revenue. 3 Tips to answering the Tell Me About Yourself question: MIKE There are three main points that you need to remember when answering this question...what's the first one Jeff? JEFF Well, as you saw in my bad answer, you absolutely DO NOT want to go on and on about your personal life or hobbies and interests. MIKE Which leads me to point number two. You want to include specific work achievements from your past in your answer. But there's one final trick right Jeff? JEFF That's right Mike. It is always a good idea to mention your strengths and abilities in your answer. Please leave your comments below, share this video with your friends on Facebook and Twitter, and don't forget... As we talk about in the video, if you want to give perfect answers to interview questions that will get you the job....You need to tailor each answer to exactly what the company is looking for. This is the method that the top job seekers in the world use. It's also helped Mike and I get offers from one job interview after another. There's a bit more to "Tailoring" than I can go into in this description or in the video but we've written a brand new special report that explains this incredibly powerful job interview method. The next thing you need to do if you want to get a job from your next interview is read this report immediately... You can get it for free by clicking the link at the end of the video. Thanks, Jeff & Mike "The Interview Guys"
