Peter Sellers looks for a garden in a Being There scene
A hilarious scene from a truly great film about a very simple-minded gardener who becomes an unlikely trusted advisor to a powerful businessman and an insider in Washington politics. Watch this movie for an absolutely amazing performance by the one and only Peter Sellers and an excellent script by Jerzy Kosinski (based on his book). © All Rights Reserved to original owners. 20+ Psychology Tricks to Read Anyone Like a Book
We get over 55% of information through nonverbal communication, like facial expressions, gestures, and other body movements. Pay attention to the signals that other people send without even realizing it. You’ve probably wondered how convenient life would be if you could read other people's minds. Some people use their intuition for this, but if you’re not so perceptive, there’s only one choice left: learning to read people's body language. TIMESTAMPS Closing their eyes 0:45 Covering their mouth 1:00 Chewing on their glasses 1:26 “Presenting” their face 1:52 Rubbing their chin 2:16 Crossed arms 2:34 Fixing their posture 3:02 Leaning forward 3:22 Leaning back 3:50 Swinging from their heels to their toes 4:14 Rubbing their hands 4:37 The "glove" handshake 4:59 A handshake with the palm facing the floor vs ceiling 5:29 Cupping someone’s hands during a handshake 5:57 A handshake with a touch 6:25 Fixing their tie 7:09 Collecting imaginary lint 7:30 Putting their feet on the desk 7:50 Mounting a chair like a horse 8:11 Playing with their shoe 8:35 Eye contact 8:57 Avoiding eye contact 9:34 Unbroken staring 9:50 A lot of blinking 10:16 SUMMARY - If a person is talking to you and closing their eyes, you should know that they’re trying to hide from the outside world. - A few fingers, a palm, or even a fist near the mouth helps us hold back the words we don't want to let out. - If you see someone chewing on the earpieces of their glasses, try having a heart-to-heart with them and cheering them up. They’re definitely subconsciously worried about something. - Crossed arms are a clear sign that a person is not feeling it today. - When a woman wants a man to notice her, she tries to present herself in the best way possible. She straightens her back to emphasize her breasts, and she may also cross her legs. - When people like someone and want to get to know them, they usually lean forward. - If someone sits back in their chair, they’re showing that they’re tired of the conversation and don't want to keep it going. - If a person doesn't swing back and forth but bounces up and down on their toes, it might be a sign that they’re feeling confident. - Rubbing the hands together generally means that a person has a positive feeling about something, and they’re hopeful. - While you’re shaking hands with someone, if that person takes your wrist with their free hand, they’re showing that they’re trustworthy, friendly, and honest. Note on Being There with Peter Sellers
Being there by Jerzy Kosinski What an intriguing and fascinating book! Considering that I have seen the film based on the novel, with an excellent Peter Sellers in the leading role, I knew what to expect. Up to a point. There are a few angles or perspectives that can affect your perception of this story. The easiest one would be to just dismiss it as a simple, impossible fantasy that sends such a primitive, obvious message, that you can just forget about it. Stupid people manage to get ahead and our leaders are troglodytes that speak in tongues. Actually, perhaps I should stop here and take this way out and cross out this short saga - there's another book finished for you I am not going do to that, for I am still thinking about the other angles. Another option that I hate, would be preferred by my buddies from the sauna. They are thrilled by the conspiracy theories and from one stage on, the plot will offer them ammunition. - you see, this is how they promote men to high office They might refer to George Bush, a president that everybody despised and hated. - maybe, except for this guy, who should be ashamed in the eyes of so many to say that he liked Bush and even his team...with the infamous unknown unknowns... To come back to Chance Gardner, I dismiss this conspiracy theory as well. It has to be said though, that the author probably suggested that politicians are as stupid as can be, uneducated and out of touch. The hyperbole being Chance Gardner, who cannot read or write. There is a feeling that the metaphor is pushed too far. One is tempted to say that the story line is as credible as alien movies, with green little guys that land on earth. Indeed, the president and the Soviet ambassador are both frustrated with the total lack of information about Chance Gardner and speak about him with anger: - what is he, an alien? Perhaps decades ago it would be more plausible to promote someone to a public, important position without knowing anything about him. In one our age though, that is not just unlikely, but altogether impossible. And there we have the reason why I have qualms about this book. On the one hand it kept me very interested and connected, I finished it quickly, for it is short. On the other, I felt the plot thin and absurd, at least at times. The conclusion though is that I liked it and I am getting used with rejecting the likes of Quo Vadis- a consecrated chef d'oeuvre- and being enthralled by a less acclaimed work as - Being There

Being There
This is a social experiment based on the book "Being There" by Jerzy Kosinski. As seen in the movie, Chance baffles people in the streets by clicking a simple television remote in front of them. This is an essential part of the movie because it reveals Chance's lack of human interaction and his confusion when faced with his first real-life interaction with new humans.

Enoch - The Watchers
Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKre86s7f9XRFtE33vnxf00CCim8wyFMl The Book of Enoch - Section I - Book of the Watchers - Chapters 1-36 translated by M. Knibb "…The Book of Enoch, an ancient composition known from two sets of versions, an Ethiopic one that scholars identify as "1 Enoch," and a Slavonic version that is identified as "2 Enoch," and which is also known as The Book of the Secrets of Enoch. Both versions, of which copied manuscripts have been found mostly in Greek and Latin translations, are based on early sources that enlarged on the short biblical mention that Enoch, the seventh Patriarch after Adam, did not die because, at age 365, "he walked with God" - taken heavenward to join the deity. Enlarging on this brief statement in the Bible (Genesis chapter 5), the books describe in detail Enoch's two celestial journeys - the first to learn the heavenly secrets, return, and impart the knowledge to his sons; and the second to stay put in the heavenly abode. The Ethiopic version is deemed by scholars to be older by several centuries than the Slavonic one, and portions of that older version are in turn known to have been based on Keepers of the Secrets 129 even older manuscripts, such as a lost Book of Noah. Fragments of Enoch books were discovered among the Dead Sea scrolls. The astronomical-calendrical tale of Enoch thus goes back into great antiquity - perhaps, as the Bible asserts, to pre-Diluvial times. Now that it is certain that the biblical tales of the Deluge and the Nefilim (the biblical Anunnaki), of the creation of the Adam and of Earth itself, and of ante-Diluvial patriarchs, are abbreviated renderings of original earlier Sumerian texts that recorded all that, it is almost certain that the biblical "Enoch" was the equivalent of the Sumerian first priest, EN.ME.DUR.AN.KI ("High Priest of the ME's of the Bond Heaven-Earth"), the man from the city Sippar taken heavenward to be taught the secrets of Heaven and Earth, of divination, and of the calendar." ~Zecharia Sitchin When Time Began INFO:___________________________________________________________ The Archive appreciates every single person who decides to become a subscriber. Spider-Man: Far From Home: Official Trailer Explained | MARVEL BREAKDOWN
In this video I will be breaking down everything that you need to know about the new Spider-man Far From Home Official Trailer. This Trailer explained covers the main things that you missed on first watch as well as the background of Hydro-Man and Mysterio #Spiderman #FarFromHome #Mysterio The Spider-Man: Far From Home Official Trailer has just dropped and like the Endgame and Captain Marvel trailers that preceded it, there is a lot to unpack. Throughout this video, I’ll be breaking down everything that you need to know about the trailer as well as the characters that appear in it. There may be some spoilers here so if you still want some ambiguity with the characters then I highly suggest that you turn off now. For everyone else, I’m Deffinition and Welcome to the Channel where I ruin it so you don’t have to! Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer Breakdown The trailer opens with Peter Parker finally getting a vacation and heading to Europe. In his room, Peter meets Nick Fury for the first time who confirms that he knows who he is and that it’s nice to finally meet him. He shoots Ned with a tranquilizer and puts him to sleep. Obviously he doesn’t know Ned is Peter’s guy in the chair unless he’s on a need to know basis and Ned doesn’t need to know. It’s clear that Peter has been picked for an assignment and is needed for a mission. We see shots of Hydro Man throughout the trailer and it ends with Mysterio teaming up with Spider-Man to take down Hydro-Man. Hydro-Man is the typical low rent super criminal and has been a member of the Sinister Syndicate and Masters Of Evil. He’s able to turn his body into water and in the comic books blamed Spider-man for his abilities. This caused him to often attempt to exact revenge on the web head but he never succeeded. Imagine Sandman but water, you get the idea. The fact that they are battling at a giant body of water really with little to swing on really showcases that Spider-man is out of his element. If New York City wasn’t a real life location then one would think it was purpose built for the character, however, this is Venice so he is already at a disadvantage and I can’t wait to see how this plays into the narrative. Peter and his Class then drop by the landmarks of Venice and it appears that there is a romance brewing between him and Michelle. I guess her stalking plan finally worked and with Liz now gone Peter and her seem to be connecting with one another. Peter is show in his new costume which similar to the last one has the ability to glide. In the trailer it appears that Mysterio is working alongside Nick Fury or perhaps even for him. Mysterio doesn’t initially have his fishbowl helmetbut this does get shown by the trailers close. In the comic books Mysterio is one of Spider-man’s big villains, though he is often used for comedic effect. In his first battle with Spider-Man he framed the character and ran a smear campaign against him. He is a magician with a great grasp of hypnosis and over the years has done several things such as fake the death of Aunt May and turn Spider-man’s allies against him. I can definitely see this being the way that the movie will go and if he manages to turn both Fury and Michelle against Peter then he will have beaten the character in more ways than one. Mysterio likely knows Peter’s identity too if he is working with SHIELD so this makes him infinitely more dangerous. Your Thoughts Ok so the trailer is incredibly short but it also has a fun vibe to it that I think will work really well with the character. Obviously, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it and if there’s anything that I missed then make sure you leave it below in the comments. If you enjoyed this video then please like it and check out my review for the trailer which will be linked at the end. John Wick Changed Action Movies And You Barely Noticed
If you're new, Subscribe! → http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Looper Style, grace and elegance aren't terms usually associated with modern American action movies. The genre is full of high-octane explosions, brutality, and bloodshed. But when it comes to the craft of filmmaking, they can often be unmemorable. John Wick changed all that. Is the world getting better or worse? A look at the numbers | Steven Pinker
Was 2017 really the "worst year ever," as some would have us believe? In his analysis of recent data on homicide, war, poverty, pollution and more, psychologist Steven Pinker finds that we're doing better now in every one of them when compared with 30 years ago. But progress isn't inevitable, and it doesn't mean everything gets better for everyone all the time, Pinker says. Instead, progress is problem-solving, and we should look at things like climate change and nuclear war as problems to be solved, not apocalypses in waiting. "We will never have a perfect world, and it would be dangerous to seek one," he says. "But there's no limit to the betterments we can attain if we continue to apply knowledge to enhance human flourishing." Lore summary - From Drakengard to Nier: Automata
(SPOILER WARNING!) This video contains spoilers for the games Drakengard 1, Drakengard 2, Drakengard 3 and Nier: Gestalt/Replicant. CC is available if you can't decipher my mumbling. This started out as just a project between me and my friend trying to piece together the story so-far in order to help out our mutual friend who has little to no knowledge of the Drakenier universe but it quickly got out of hand and so we decided to piece together this video in hopes of not only raising awareness of the series but also help the people that aren't very knowledgable about the series. This is a series that I hold very dear to my heart and so I really don't want people to overlook Nier: Automata as I believe it will bring the true gameplay and world-building that Yoko Tarou's stories have been deprived of in the past. His past games aren't exactly well-known in the West, mainly due to their conveluted plots but also due to the fact that they're just not that great when you look past the story. But I am desperately hoping that Nier: Automata will be a turning point, which is why I am strongly opposed the idea of people sleeping on this game. As I mentioned in the video, you don't actually have to know any of the lore in order to enjoy Nier: Automata but the people that are going into the game with no prior knowledge of the series will be missing out on over 11000 years of lore, and that's just a bummer! Here is a link to a wonderfully well done picture showing the different timelines (created by Rekka Alexiel): http://nier2.com/images/DOD-NIER-timeline-20160418.png Nier: Automata will be released in the beginning of March, please make sure to support it! 11e0801 IN HINDI the model millionaire by oscar wilde summary part 1 ✅
the model millionaire by oscar wilde summary There was a very good-looking young man, named Hughie Erskine. He was popular and kind. However, he was not very clever and had no money. He kept changing his job but always failed. Finally he stopped working and lived on money given to him by an old aunt. He loved a girl named Laura Merton, the daughter of a retired Colonel. The Colonel would only allow them to get married if Hughie had ten thousand pounds of his own. One day, Hughie visited his friend, Alan Trevor, who was a painter. When Hughie came, Alan was painting a model. The model was a beggar-man. Hughie felt sorry for the model, so he gave him a sovereign. Later that night, Hughie met Alan at Palette Club. They had a talk. Hughie found out from Alan that the model was actually not a beggar-man, but a millionaire, named Baron Hausberg. Hughie went home unhappily, whereas Alan laughed loudly. The next morning, a messenger from Baron Hausberg came and brought him a letter. The letter contained a cheque for ten thousand pounds which was a wedding present to Hugh Erskine and Laura Merton from Baron Hausberg. On the day of the marriage, Alan Trevor was the best man and the Baron made a speech at the wedding breakfast. Alan said, "Millionaire models are rare enough, but model millionaires are rarer still!" https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=pcv135 Please click on like button 👍 for support our video. The surprising habits of original thinkers | Adam Grant
How do creative people come up with great ideas? Organizational psychologist Adam Grant studies "originals": thinkers who dream up new ideas and take action to put them into the world. In this talk, learn three unexpected habits of originals — including embracing failure. "The greatest originals are the ones who fail the most, because they're the ones who try the most," Grant says. "You need a lot of bad ideas in order to get a few good ones." It can cause the other person to subconsciously assume that this is a theoretical question - If you ever want someone to feel uncomfortable, look at the middle of their forehead during the conversation. - If someone you're talking to is trying to avoid answering a question, just make a pause in the conversation while still keeping eye contact. - When asking a question that you want an affirmative answer to, try to nod subtly as you make your request. This trick is often used by restaurants employees to make guests buy more food, and it’s pretty effective! - If a person is really concentrated on a task (let's say they're in the middle of a serious phone conversation), you can extend your hand to them and get anything they’re holding at the moment. - If you want somebody to do something for you, casually say how they probably wouldn’t even be able to do it. Most people will try really hard to prove someone wrong when it comes to doubting their capabilities. - Here’s a good one for negotiations. If you like a person's offer in general but would like to get better conditions, pretend to be a little bit disappointed. - As soon as your alarm clock goes off, sit up, make two fists, and yell "Yeah!" as if you’re a soccer player who's just scored a goal. It sounds bizarre, but it really does help you easily get out of bed feeling refreshed. - If a person tries to pull you into an argument or some drama, say something nice to them. The ol’ “kill ‘em with kindness” trick really does stop them in their tracks. - If you have that one lazy person on your team that slows the whole work process down, don't give them tasks by saying "Do this." It’s better to say "Start with this." - If someone is staring at you in the subway (happens all-too often, right?), just look at their shoes. Don't give up, keep gazing! It’ll drive them crazy! - If someone has done something wrong, but you don’t wanna sound too accusing, change the way you construct your sentences. - If you didn't get a good night's sleep, tell yourself that you did. I know, it sounds like nonsense, but it does work 100% if you say it with meaning! - People are better at remembering what happened at the beginning and end of the day. As for anything that went on in between, it gets blurry.
