Beginner's guide to solo bitcoin and litecoin mining, using cgminer and bfgminer

18:00
Newbie guide for those who want to try solo bitcoin and litecoin mining, using bfgminer and cgminer. The config files shown in the video are available in the readme or example files of the mining folder, but some of them won't be. For the rpcuser etc it's just a case of typing into a regular txt file and renaming it to a .conf file. Make sure you download the latest version of cgminer (I have noticed the 3.8 version doesn't work well with scrypt, but unsure if it has been completely unsupported, I just use 3.6.6) and bfgminer or it's likely to fail. Here are some of the links used in the video: Bitcoin exchange: https://www.virwox.com?r=453b1 Exchange altcoins for bitcoins here: http://bit.ly/1hrDgR9 (coins-e) Cex cloud mining is a good way to start without any mining equipment http://bit.ly/1bLOM6q Donations welcome: Cheap USB block erupters and other asics: http://asics.mongoloid.co.uk/ bfgminer: http://bfgminer.org/ cgminer: http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/ tcpview: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897437.aspx zadig (USB driver for cgminer): http://sourceforge.net/projects/libwdi/files/zadig/ bitcoin wallet: http://bitcoin.org/en/download litecoin wallet: https://litecoin.org/ Also Notepad Plus is recommended: http://www.notepad-plus-plus.org/ Bfgminer.conf file: { "pools" : [ { "url" : "http://127.0.0.1:9332", "user" : "username", "pass" : "password" } ], "intensity" : "11", "worksize" : "64,256", "auto-fan" : true, "auto-gpu" : true, "kernel" : scrypt, "scrypt" : true, "kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin" } cgminer: { "pools" : [ { "url" : "http://127.0.0.1:8332", "user" : "username", "pass" : "password" } ], "intensity" : "8", "worksize" : "64", "gpu-threads" : "1", "scan-serial" : [ "/dev/ttyUSB0", "/dev/ttyUSB1", "/dev/ttyUSB2", "/dev/ttyUSB3" ], "kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin" } litecoin.conf (in AppData Roaming Folder): rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=9332 daemon=1 server=1 gen=0 block_nTime=1317972665 block_nNonce=2084524493 bitcoin.conf (in AppData Roaming Folder): server=1 gen=0 rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=8332

Wampei Allows All Businesses to Accept Bitcoin as Easily as Cash @ Collision Conf 2018

09:52
http://collision.live/ Cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin and Etherium, have become a major topic of conversation, not only among technologists but also among the general population. As the value of Bitcoin skyrocketed, interest in its usage did as well. As the value has dropped, interest has not diminished by much. But, the problem is, few people understand exactly how to take advantage of this new style of virtual currency. If you are a retailer or a restaurant, for example, how can you accept Bitcoin in your establishment? Credit cards are easy enough, with payment processors available a dime a dozen, but what about cryptocurrencies? Enter Wampei, the non-standard payment processor bringing cryptocurrency to a variety of businesses. Accepting cryptocurrency creates a number of efficiencies. For example, businesses have no need to worry about chargebacks, a massive source of loss for many businesses, because they not only lose the money but also the product, adding insult to injury. Since cryptocurrency works like cash, once a transaction is complete, it is complete - no take backs. Also, since there are no financial institutions involved, the cost of transactions is far lower. With credit cards, companies can pay upwards of 10% of the transaction as a fee to the payment processor, depending on the processor and the type of card used. That means that products have to sell for a higher price to make up for the loss to the processor. With Wampei, however, they're not really a processor - more of a facilitator. Businesses whose average transaction is under $500, which is probably most, can save up to 80% over accepting credit cards. With Wampei, you also don't need to have a bank account, which is not the case for credit cards. You can store your company's Bitcoin is an offline, protected wallet and only have enough available online for refunds, similar to having cash in your register. Converting your Bitcoin to standard currency is also fairly easy, as ATMs have begun popping up all over. For more information on Wampei, or to sign up to begin accepting Bitcoin, check out their website. Sponsored by: Support our coverage by shopping Amazon here (http://collision.live/prime). Creating a Local Bitcoin Testnet / Regtest - Programming Bitcoin

23:19
UPDATE: a few specifics have changed, see below for up-to-date commands In this video we create a local bitcoin testnet within a docker container. Then we'll connect to our testnet from Bitcoin-Qt on our desktop (host) machine. Here's the docker box we're going to use: https://github.com/freewil/bitcoin-testnet-box Essentially, run: docker pull freewil/bitcoin-testnet-box docker run -t -i --name bitcoind -P -p 49020:19000 freewil/bitcoin-testnet-box make start Now we'll have a local testnet we can use for test transactions. Tips: 1FfxymRtVTJbqtFg5ZK9p16mABVFCjqg6J ------------------ It's been a few years since I recorded this and the commands for `freewil/bitcoin-testnet-box` have changed. * Checkout https://github.com/freewil/bitcoin-testnet-box for the latest instructions on how to run that Docker box. * Make sure you expose port 19000, too: `docker run -t -i -p 19000:19000 -p 19001:19001 -p 19011:19011 freewil/bitcoin-testnet-box` * Instead of using bitcoind at 9:31, use: `bitcoin-cli -datadir=1 stop` * To tail the log run: `tail -f 1/regtest/debug.log` * To run BitcoinQT: `/Applications/Bitcoin-Qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Bitcoin-Qt -regtest -dnsseed=0 -connect=0.0.0.0:19000 -datadir=./localnet/ -splash=0` - note the different port and using regtest instead of testnet mode * Now use bitcoin-cli for most functions instead of bitcoind * E.g. `bitcoin-cli -datadir=1 listaccounts` Show less

Bitcoin Q&A: Miners, pools, and consensus

25:47
How many miners and/or pools are there? Can the distribution of miners be determined? Would mining pools be incentivised to merge? Is miner collusion through 51% attacks a present threat? Could they double-spend their coins? How are they impacted by replace-by-fee (RBF)? These questions are from the MOOC sessions 7.2, 8.2, and 9.2 covering the Byzantine Generals' Problem, which took place on February 26th 2017, September 15th 2017, and February 23rd 2018 respectively. Bitcoin Value

03:24
Bitcoin Value http://vantekk.com/bitcoins/ Bitcoin Versus Aristotelian Intrinsic Value By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mirelo_Deugh_Ausgam_Valis]Mirelo Deugh Ausgam Valis Invoking Aristotle, Max Keiser published an article arguing that Bitcoin has an intrinsic value in its privacy.[1] According to that article, Bitcoin versus Aristotelian intrinsic value is a match. Bitcoin Versus Aristotelian Intrinsic Value: A Mismatch In Aristotle's work, intrinsic value specifies any value an object has independently of being money. So its intrinsic value results from its useful properties as a commodity (rather than as money). However, Bitcoin is useful only as money. Then, apparently Max Keiser's argument would be wrong. For not being useful as a commodity, Bitcoin has no intrinsic value. Bitcoin Versus Aristotelian Intrinsic Value: A Match However, there is a situation in which all money becomes a commodity. That situation is its exchange for a different form of money. Whenever bought or sold, money becomes a commodity. Transacting Versus Transacted Money For us to buy or sell a monetary object, that object must remain its mere possibility of being money: actual money can only play the active role -- as the buying object -- in any transaction, and never its passive role -- as the bought or sold object. It must be a mere possibility to play this last role. Then, because money always belongs either in an actual or just possible transaction, we must call it when actual or active, transacting money, and when merely possible or passive, transacted money. As thus, whenever transacted, money becomes a commodity. So as actual, transacting money, Bitcoin has no intrinsic value. However, as just possible, transacted money, it does have an intrinsic value. This is because, whenever bought or sold, Bitcoin's intrinsic monetary properties become its commodity properties. Therefore, if Bitcoin became the only currency of the world, its intrinsic value would vanish. With no other currency to buy it and for which to sell itself, Bitcoin no longer could be a commodity. It only could be actual money. Bitcoin's intrinsic value depends on its being able to compete with other currencies (as a transacted, bought or sold commodity). Privacy as Bitcoin's Intrinsic Value Still, privacy does not itself constitute an intrinsic value of Bitcoin: There is a difference between transaction privacy and public-key privacy. There is a difference between exchange value depending on and being itself whichever utilities or properties. The privacy of Bitcoin transactions depends on Bitcoin's public-key privacy, which is one of its properties. Likewise, its intrinsic value possibly depends on its allowing transaction privacy, which is one of its utilities. Public-key privacy, by making transaction privacy possible, allows us to give Bitcoin its intrinsic value as a bought or sold commodity (for example, in Bitcoin exchanges). Intrinsic value is the exchange value of utilities resulting from intrinsic properties. Finally, Bitcoin has other properties than public-key privacy, like its ubiquity and security -- both unknown to Aristotle. Those properties also make Bitcoin useful, despite in other ways. It is because of all such utilities -- rather than just because of transaction privacy -- that we can give Bitcoin its monetary value. Bitcoin's Intrinsic Value So Bitcoin is possibly a commodity but only when transacted. Only then, its (merely possible) monetary value becomes its intrinsic value. Here is Max Keiser's article: rel=nofollow [http://www.huffingtonpost.com/max-keiser/is-bitcoin-money_b_2849031.html]Is Bitcoin Money? An Open Source History: from Linux to Bitcoin's Blockchain | Rusty Russell | TEDxAdelaide

10:08
Blockchains are an exciting solution to an old problem, but the first blockchain was produced and is still maintained by a group of volunteers, releasing world-class software for all to use freely.  Rusty Russell uses his 20 years of experience writing community-produced software to describe how we got here, and just possibly, what will happen in the future. Rusty Russell is an Australian free software programmer and advocate, best known for his work alongside Linux luminaries like Linus Torvalds over the last few decades. He founded the influential linux.conf.au series of conferences in 1999 which continue to this day, and is responsible for dozens of projects which contribute to the productivity of programmers around the world. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

Darkcoin Tutorial - How To Setup and Update Masternodes

Instructional Video Tutorial - How To Buy Darkcoins, Setup And Update Masternodes Download Zip File: http://darkcoin.guide/data/how_to_setup_and_update_masternodes.zip Darkcoin Tips Appreciated! XuPWr8o8VjQDeGkZgAVqFuQjjNdkecXtpx Thank You! :) Example Masternode Setup: create a data directory folder, name it something other than Darkcoin. for example, C:/hotdog/ create another folder to put the .exe in, for example C:/hamburger/ and rename darkcoin-qt.exe to something else. for example, hamburger.exe for your masternode #1, create a .conf file in the C:/hamburger/ folder, for example taco1.conf for your masternode #2, create taco2.conf for your masternode #3, create taco3.conf etc... for your masternode #1, create a shortcut to hamburger.exe, and name the shortcut for example taco1. click Properties, and change the Start in: to C:/hamburger/ and change Target: to C:/hamburger/hamburger.exe -datadir=C:/hotdog/ -wallet=taco1 -conf=C:/hamburger/taco1.conf when you first open the taco1 shortcut, it will create a new wallet called taco1 in the C:/hotdog/ folder and use the taco1.conf from the C:/hamburger/ folder. create a new shortcut for each additional masternode the same way. once your masternodes are running, I recommend keeping all the wallet files somewhere safe until you need to access them. import all their private keys into a single wallet if you want to cash in your masternode payments all at once using coin control. bitcoin to usd http://vantekk.com/bitcoins/ A Lil' Bit a Coin - A Lil' Bit a Crazy By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=David_Skinner]David Skinner If you've had your head under a financial rock lately or just returned from a St. Tropez vacation, then you have reason not to have seen the news, heard the boasting or for some -- the razzing about a new medium of financial transactions. It's called the "bit coin." The most exciting thing to hit popular economics since the 'sub-prime bubble,' the Internet Sock Puppet or the Dutch Tulip Bulb Mania. Believers Or Leavers There are doubters of course even in the face of the irony: That while the Internet has affected almost every part of our lives as promised, it has done little to affect the traditional assets of commercial exchange. This is not the place nor the space to explain how bit coins have come to be, how they're mined, the complex math algorithm behind their control or how they have both skyrocketed in value one day and plummeted the next. Leave it to be said, with the likes of Bank of America Merrill Lynch calling bit coins a potential "major means of payment for e-commerce (a sizable market in today's commerce) and that it may even emerge as a serious competitor to traditional money transfer providers," that Dick Bove at Rafferty Capital Markets claiming in a note to clients, "It is not the last and there will be other more refined approaches, but make no mistake one or many digital currencies, which are not controlled by governments are coming,." I wish I would have said that! Enter JP Morgan One of the largest banks and asset management companies in the world has applied for a patent eerily similar to bit coins. You have to take some notice and as Bove adds, "It will be a factor in valuing certain banking products related to the payment system." Bit Coin Prices In 2011 the value of one bit coin rapidly rose from about $0.30 to $32, before falling back down to $2. Then on 19 November 2013, the value of bit coin on the Mt. Gox exchange soared to a peak of $900 USD following a United States Senate meeting where it was announced that virtual currencies were a legitimate financial service. There are roughly 12 million bit coins in existence as of November 2013. Pizzas And ATMs There are already some pizzerias in New York willing to take bit coins for a 10" pepperoni and ATMs that ask if you prefer your funds in cash or coins - bit coins. The market for these is growing everyday. Even the Winklevoss twins, those boys involved in the brush-up during the founding of Face Book have taken a major position in the coinage. But Not My CPA Friend No. He absolutely believes it's a scam. I point out to him that his tech abilities hardly extend beyond Skype, nor has he a Twitter account to call his own, but "The technology be damned" is his opinion. And yet it is both, the public opinion and the economic meaning of what constitutes money that will determine bit coins' acceptance. Any article, coin, gem or device that is broadly accepted as a form of a 'third party exchange' -- meaning other than direct barter -- and has the means of 'holding value' constitutes money. Now the value may rise or fall as we often hear of foreign and domestic currency manipulations, but the "money," be it the US dollar, the euro, gold, etc. has acceptance among an array of users harking back to prior transactions. As an example: The purchase of Manhattan Island from Native Americans for glass beads worth $24 Dutch guilders in the 19th century, a value of $24 USD then and $1000 today. How to Solo Mine Garlicoin ($GRLC) + Overclock Settings

13:23
Garlicoin is, by far, my FAVOURITE coin to mine. All of my GPUs run 10c degrees cooler, use less power and require less cooling. Plus, it's more profitable than any coin listed on Whattomine.com. It's a win win! Now that Garlicoin ($GRLC) has hardforked and has been out for just over a week, maybe you want to solo mine instead of pool mine. I explain the difference between pool and solo mining. I give you my perspective and when you may want to consider solo mining. Instructions to solo mine with Nvidia cards on Windows 10: 1. Download this Allium solo miner version of ccminer 2.3.5: https://github.com/beanjo55/ccminer-nanashi/releases/tag/2.3.5 2. Download and install Garlicoin Core wallet: https://github.com/GarlicoinOrg/Garlicoin/releases/download/allium-mainnet/Garlicoin-x86_64_Win_Wallet.tar.gz 3. Launch Garlicoin Core, wait for it to connect to the network and fully update itself. This may take 10-20min. Once complete, close it. 4. Edit the garlicoin.conf file located in your C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Garlicoin folder. Please note that the AppData folder is hidden, so you'll need to type it in. 5. Open the garlicoin.conf file with Notepad, it should be empty. 6. Copy and paste these settings: rpcpassword=test rpcallowip=192.168.1.0/24 rpcport=42068 upnp=1 server=1 listen=1 daemon=0 addnode=174.119.90.59 addnode=52.39.1.167 addnode=128.82.17.231 addnode=172.31.29.127 addnode=67.181.72.208 addnode=5.196.13.45 addnode=185.185.126.143 addnode=86.17.122.85 addnode=52.89.91.13 addnode=151.230.250.248 addnode=86.17.164.241 addnode=92.233.163.178 addnode=94.224.222.136 addnode=24.141.22.198 addnode=51.175.34.47 addnode=37.33.112.16 addnode=108.204.153.25 addnode=68.54.119.120 addnode=35.225.227.111 addnode=80.211.208.43 addnode=70.106.228.160 7. Save the file, then re-open Garlicoin Core. 8. Go to File, Receiving Addresses. Copy your wallet address. 9. Edit the run.bat file and paste your address after --coinbase-addr= Example script: ccminer.exe --algo=allium -o 127.0.0.1:42068 -u test -p test --coinbase-addr=GRYC1SWcpJHGsi8PPkbVrVfz8ZtGTaTPKf --debug --no-stratum --no-longpoll -i 21 10. Save the file, then run run.bat. It should start solo mining! Have fun! Leave a comment below. Let me know if solo mining is more profitable for you than pool minig. D3 and React, Together - Shirley Wu

31:40
Talk recording from React Amsterdam 2018 Conference https://react.amsterdam #D3 and React, Together D3 and React, who should control the DOM? After all, React’s whole purpose is managing updates to the DOM so we don’t have to. D3, on the other hand, is a library for building data visualizations, and it too needs access to the DOM. And stepping back, when should we even use D3 and React together? In this talk, I will give guidelines on when React should have ownership of the DOM, and when D3 should instead. More importantly, I will cover the interactions and applications that will benefit the most from using D3 and React, together.

bitcoin central

bitcoin central http://vantekk.com/bitcoins/ Introduction to Bitcoin By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Karina_Popa]Karina Popa Bitcoin is a sort of crypto-currency that has revolutionized the online financial market. In terms of finance, this is an incredibly innovating concept. The Bitcoin currency value is determined by an algorithm, and everything is transparent for everyone involved, so no one has any surprises. Central agencies cannot control the supplies of Bitcoin (as opposed to fiat currencies). The world supply of Bitcoins is limited to 21 million. Innovation Just like any other innovation, Bitcoin enjoys the support of many followers who are crazy about this idea. They love it so much that they spread it all around and even took it to another level. Indeed, Bitcoin enjoys the support of many enthusiasts and it can really prove to shape a fantastic future in terms of finance, especially since it gives the power of money back to the people and not to a central control. Time The Bitcoin currency is definitely here to stay and it is not a simple trend. Everyone is looking for ways to improve Bitcoin in terms of equipment and ways of work. The exchanges are putting everything they have in the efficacy and the safety of this system. Many entrepreneurs take a chance and build their businesses around this idea. The venture capital funds support projects that are connected to Bitcoin (for example, Coinbase raised five million dollars from a couple of incredible VCs and here we can include the team that coordinated Tumblr). Force Bitcoin has the power to become a great force in the financial industry. The scenarios are numerous, and they all seem to support the idea that Bitcoin will retain its value, even if the fiat currency of a weak central government is consumed by hyperinflation. And we shouldn't fall into a pessimistic mood, even if there are some recorded cases of people selling valuable items in order to buy Bitcoins. All things considered, the Bitcoin monetary system can easily coexist with the traditional currencies existent in the world. Benefits A few of the benefits brought by Bitcoin are seen in effective markets. A Bitcoin can be divided into millions of parts (every part is called satoshi); the fiat currency is normally broken down in hundreds). The transactions in this network are free, or in some cases include a tiny transaction fee in order to induce the miners. But we are speaking of approximately a tenth of one percent. If you are to compare this with a two or four percent fee that is generally charged by the credit card companies, you will understand why this concept is so attractive. If you want to participate in this economy, you do not have to be a technical expert or to know too much about the subject. There are a couple of services that can be employed in order to transform the process of turning from a newbie into an experienced investor into a smooth one. Take this chance and make it work! Giacomo Zucco - BITCOIN: POLITICAL ATTACK VECTORS AND COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS | HCPP17

Economic blogger and contributor to several Italian newspapers. Involved in several projects in Bitcoin and blockchain space since 2012, he is now CEO of BHB Network, a research/development/incubation/consulting firm and a world-class competence center in the field. TALK: BITCOIN: POLITICAL ATTACK VECTORS AND COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS The blockchain technology was not brought about to improve past technologies, instead, its roots are exclusively political. The idea behind its development, started by the internet cypherpunks and then continued by Satoshi Nakamoto, is the creation of a monetary tool able to defy government censorship and to protect user’s privacy. In this speech, Giacomo Zucco will dispel myths about improbable uses of the blockchain, especially in the financial/banking world, and he will outline the true challenges behind Bitcoin. Part of those challenges are also political in nature: In the last months, we have seen interesting developments with the proposals of various contentious and not technically-motivated hard-forks, one of which was enacted (Bitcoin Cash). Those splits can be seen as a new kind of political attack vector against the decentralised and censorship-resistant nature of Bitcoin. To understand the absence of true technical motives behind those kind of consensus changes you have to understand the fundamental difference between the necessity of a dynamic, versatile and competitive system, following the Schumpeter’s definition of “Creative destruction”, able to disrupt and replace the current financial and monetary system, and the absolute importance of a resilient immutable base protocol. Protocols like the TCP/IP are very difficult to upgrade because they are base level network architectures, Bitcoin more-so needs to be static to withstand every kind of attack: strong foundations to build on. On the other hand, some changes are still deemed to be necessary and desirable before the eventual crystallisation of the protocol: one example is Segwit that was finally activated at the end of August 2017. earn bitcoins http://vantekk.com/bitcoins/ In this article about Bitcoin I will gloss over what Bitcoin is, how it works, and a few ways you can get your hands on Bitcoin. Look for later posts that discuss in depth ways to get your hands on your first Bitcoin or check out my blog: TheBitcoinLife. So what exactly is Bitcoin? Option 1: You can buy it. Simple enough right? Buying Bitcoin is the fastest way to get your hands on Bitcoin and has proved to be very lucrative for people trading it against the dollar or whatever local currency they are dealing in. So, where do you buy these bitcoins? Good question. There are a number of Exchanges online that allow you to purchase Bitcoins with cash. The most popular Exchange right now is the MTGox Exchange. After you verify your bank account with MTGox you can begin buying, selling and trading Bitcoins as you see fit. MTGox is also the Exchange I use. I have found it to be very professional and quite user friendly. Not to mention transactions are completely free and the price of Bitcoins is updated in real time. Option 2: You can accept it for goods and services. That's right if you have a business with a website, you can begin accepting Bitcoins as a medium of exchange as soon as today. Conveniently enough you can go to the MTGox exchange and click on their "Merchant Tools" tab and get your website setup to accept Bitcoins today. It's fast easy and it expands your business' flexibility when it comes to taking payments. Option 3: You can "Mine" them. One thing we haven't touched on in this article is Bitcoin mining. What is mining? Mining is where someone like you uses special software/hardware to solve math problems in the Bitcoin network. These math problems are part of the proof-of-work system mentionabove and help verify transactions taking place every day which helps keep the Bitcoin Network secure. Just like mining for a raw material like gold you are compensated for your work or in this case, the commutations your computer calculates for the network. I will go into more detail about mining in another post because it warrants a post of its own. *Bonus option* so we've discussesd 3 ways of how to get your hands on Bitcoins. You can buy them, accept them, and mine them. So what's the fourth bonus way? For starters I would like to say this is my favorite way to acquire Bitcoins because its free, its easy and anyone can do it. Regardless of whether you have a lot of money to start off or no money at all, all you need is a little bit of time. Option 4: Bitcoin Promotion. That's right if you are willing to put in a little bit of time and share Bitcoin with your friends and colleagues you can get free Bitcoins that as Ive said, are worth almost $700. Now I'm not saying you need to hard sell your family and friends on the concept of Bitcoin, I would actually highly advise against that unless you want your calls and texts screened. What I mean is become an affiliate and promote the Bitcoin network. It's as simple as posting a few Facebook, Twitter, or G+ posts sharing with people what Bitcoin is and why it may serve them. Maybe Pinterest is more your style, the point is if people are interested in Bitcoin and sign up via your post you start getting free Bitcoins. As an example I received.01 Bitcoin just for joining my program. Bitcoin has been trading at just under $700USD today so that's about $7 just for a free signup. Like I said before Bitcoin promotion is my favorite because it's easy, it's free, and anyone can do it. For more info about Bitcoins and how they can benefit you check out my blog TheBitcoinLife or if you are ready to get started promoting check out my author bio below. bitcoin value bitcoin miner what is bitcoin bitcoin wallet bitcoin to usd bitcoin wiki bitcoin market bitcoin forum bitcoin difficulty buy bitcoin bitcoin central bitcoin faucet bitcoin pool earn bitcoins bitcoin mining pool bitcoin.org wiki bitcoin bitcoin forums bitcoin client bitcoin watch bitcoin buy, bitcoin otc bitcoin trade bitcoin scam bitcoin rates bitcoin gpu bitcoin ubuntu bitcoin.conf bitcoin linux bitcoin block explorer trade bitcoins buy a bitcoin bitcoin sell bitcoin blocks bitcoin port bitcoin cuda http://youtu.be/qoK7JdMSPtM http://youtu.be/ieID8ceol1k earn bitcoins

EThOS how to dual mine

17:09
Today I’m showing you how to setup the Claymore dual miner on EThOS. Ethos is Linux based operating system specially designed to mine cryptocurrency. In the examples we are going to dual mine Callisto (CLO) and SmartCash (SMART), but Claymore can be used to mine any number of coins. The reason I make this video was because EthOS has changed the what configuration files you can use. The local.conf or remote.conf files are still the most important files for mining on EthOS, but we used to be able to supplement these files with stub files. I go over the new way to do things now that the stub files are no longer an option. Now we have to use the flags option to this in local.conf. I also go over some advanced settings. Below I have included the a copy of the file I used in the video. Remember to replace my info with your info. Example files Local.conf --------------------------------- globalminer claymore stratumproxy enable proxywallet 0x33496bf2654acbdbe501accc9393790707e89ad3 proxypool1 stratum+tcp://lb.geo.callistopool.eu:8001 poolpass1 x proxypool2 stratum+tcp://clopool.pro:2561 poolpass2 x dualminer enabled dualminer-coin keccak dualminer-pool stratum+tcp://us-mine.smartcash.cc:3008 dualminer-wallet SaMXJJ4CjFRDVwJceAEQfE2QfUMKuRpiGt dualminer-poolpass1 x claymore=flags -eworker trio -dcri 8,8,8 -colors 1 -allpools 1 -------------------------------------- To add failover pools for the 2nd coin edit this file: /opt/miners/claymore/dpools.txt Links to more info Main Page http://ethosdistro.com/ EthOS knowledge base http://ethosdistro.com/kb/ If you have any question let me know.

bitcoin forums http://vantekk.com/bitcoins/ Bitcoin is the Napster of Money. Remember when Napster was the "go to" source for up/downloading music in the late 90's? Well Napster used one of these p2p networks that allowed someone in Texas to exchange music with someone in California or anywhere else in the world for that matter. Bitcoin uses a similar process but instead of music being transferred back and forth, Bitcoins are being transferred back and forth. As the transfers take place your "Bitcoin Wallet" is updated with whatever amount of Bitcoin you have given or received. As noted in the definition above the process is secure and confirmed though a proof-of-work system that guarantees accuracy and security. So, now you know a little bit about what Bitcoin is and how it works. Now how do you get it? Well lets first identify why you might want Bitcoin. As I write this post, Bitcoin is trading between $660 - $720USD. Still interested? Me too! Option 1: You can buy it. Simple enough right? Buying Bitcoin is the fastest way to get your hands on Bitcoin and has proved to be very lucrative for people trading it against the dollar or whatever local currency they are dealing in. buy a bitcoin http://vantekk.com/bitcoins/ How to Buy Bitcoin - Step One By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mark_Andrew_Norton]Mark Andrew Norton The best way to learn about bitcoin, is to jump in and get a few in your "pocket" to get a feel for how they work. Despite the hype about how difficult and dangerous it can be, getting bitcoins is a lot easier and safer than you might think. In a lot of ways, it is probably easier than opening an account at a traditional bank. And, given what has been happening in the banking system, it is probably safer too. There are a few things to learn: getting and using a software wallet, learning how to send and receive money, learning how to buy bitcoin from a person or an exchange. Preparation Before getting started, you will need to get yourself a wallet. You can do this easily enough by registering with one of the exchanges which will host wallet for you. And, although I think you are going to want to have one or more exchange wallets eventually, you should start with one on your own computer both to get a better feel for bitcoin and because the exchanges are still experimental themselves. When we get to that stage of the discussion, I will be advising that you get in the habit of moving your money and coins off the exchanges or diversifying across exchanges to keep your money safe. What is a wallet? It is a way to store your bitcoins. Specifically, it is software that has been designed to store bitcoin. It can be run on your desktop computer, laptop, mobile device (except, as yet, Apple) and can also be made to store bitcoins on things like thumb drives. If you are concerned about being hacked, then that is a good option. Even the Winklevoss* twins, who have millions invested in bitcoin, put their investment on hard drives which they then put into a safety deposit box. *The Winklevoss twins are the ones who originally had the idea for a social networking site that became Facebook. They hired Mark Zuckerberg who took their idea as his own and became immensely rich. What do you need to know about having a bitcoin wallet on your computer? Below you can download the original bitcoin wallet, or client, in Windows or Mac format. These are not just wallets, but are in fact part of the bitcoin network. They will receive, store, and send your bitcoins. You can create one or more addresses with a click (an address is a number that looks like this: 1LyFcQatbg4BvT9gGTz6VdqqHKpPn5QBuk). You will see a field where you can copy and paste a number like this from a person you want to send money to and off it will go directly into that person's wallet. You can even create a QR code which will let someone take a picture with an app on their phone and send you some bitcoin. It is perfectly safe to give these out - the address and QR code are both for my donations page. Feel free to donate! NOTE: This type of wallet acts both as a wallet for you and as part of the bitcoin system. The reason bitcoin works is that every transaction is broadcast and recorded as a number across the entire system (meaning that every transaction is confirmed and made irreversible by the network itself). Any computer with the right software can be part of that system, checking and supporting the network. This wallet serves as your personal wallet and also as a support for that system. Therefore, be aware that it will take up 8-9 gigabytes of your computer's memory. After you install the wallet, it will take as much as a day for the wallet to sync with the network. This is normal, does not harm your computer, and makes the system as a whole more secure, so it's a good idea.
