Colin shares a couple recent and real examples of email going to the wrong people, or at the wrong time, and talks about some of the new features in Exchange 2010 that can prevent some of those things from happening. How about moderating emails, so a manager can approve mails sent external to the company? Or automatically applying Rights Management to emails based on sender, or recipient, or contents? Also some new features for auditing and archiving mail. Find out more about Exchange 2010 here @ http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/2010.

A service account is a user account that is created to isolate a service or application. Check out http://itfreetraining.com for more of our always free training videos. This video looks at how to create and use service accounts in your organization. What is a service account A service account is user account that has been created to run a particular piece of software or service. Principle of least privilege The principle of least privilege is giving the user only the minimum required amount of access. For example, if a user only requires access to certain files than they should only have access to those files. If the user only requires access to certain servers or workstations, they should only have access to those. The advantage of this is that it minimizes the amount of damage that can be done if the user account was to become comprised. When used with service accounts, one service account should be created for each service or application. If the same service account is shared between services and applications, and this service account was to stop working (for example the account became locked) all software using this service account would be effected. Using the same user account for multiple services Some administrators will choose to run multiple services and applications using the same user account. To ensure that there are no problems running their software, some administrators will use a user account that has Domain Administrator access. If you use the same user account for multiple pieces of software, and the user account was to fail for any reason, all the software using that service account would also be affected. Also if the account was to become compromised, this service account could be used to access resources on the network. The more access the service account has the more potential damage that it could do. The service account could prevent applications and services using it from running by simply changing the password of the account. Service Account Lockout When the password for a service account is changed, the password must be updated in all locations that use the service account. A user account can become locked after to many wrong password attempts. When the service account is used in multiple locations and the password is not updated in all locations, the old password will still be used. After Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1, Active Directory will check the last two passwords used. If there is a match, the service account will not be locked. Service account expires It should be noted that if a service account password was to expire, this will prevent the user account from being able to be used until the password for the user account has been changed. Demonstration The following procedure can be used to create a service account. Run Active Directory Users and Computers. Right click the OU where you want the user to be created. When prompted, ensure user must change password at next logon is not ticked. This will prevent the service account from being used until the password has been changed. To prevent the password for the service account from expiring, tick the tick box password never expires. To maintain high security, when ticking this option, the password for the user account should be changed at regular interval. For additional security for your service account, you can create a domain group and place the service account in that group. Once service account has been added to this group, you can remove all other group membership. This will ensure the service account does not have any permissions, not even Domain User permissions unless they are allocated to the service account. To give the service account access to a particular service, type lusrmgr.msc in the start menu to edit the local users and groups. Add the service account to the local groups as required. To the change the password that is being used for a service account, open services from the start menu. Open the properties for the service you want to change the password for and change the password on the log on tab. Eng/Taga/Nat Flight attendants of Philippine Airlines were told to surrender their uniforms and flight manuals on Friday, two days after Asia's oldest airline shut down its operations. The cash-strapped company closed on Wednesday after efforts to resolve labour disputes failed. Angered by the company's shutdown - former workers staged a mass picket outside the PAL office in the capital, Manila. They condemned the airline and the country's president for failing to come to their aid. These are the flight attendants of Philippine Airlines who have been made redundant. They were all told to surrender their uniforms and flight manuals on Friday, two days after the Philippines' flag carrier shut down its operations. At PAL's cabin crew centre in Manila, baggage was piling up - containing company uniforms the sacked workers were required to return. Flight attendants needed to fill out forms to have their surrendered belongings cleared, a requirement before they could claim redundancy packages. With only a day to sort matters out, things were quite hectic. The cash-strapped airline closed on Wednesday, after management and labour unions failed to come up with an agreement, despite last-ditch efforts. PAL chairman Lucio Tan proposed to give the union 20 percent of the company's stocks in exchange for a 10-year suspension of their Collective Bargaining Agreement. The union rejected the offer saying it would be illegal to surrender their rights to just to renegotiate. So while it meant losing their jobs, these flight attendants say they were left with no options. SOUNDBITE: (English) "Well, we feel sad of course, Philippine Airlines has been a part of our lives, but the proposal that Lucio Tan and the PAL management put to us was not something that we could accept." SUPER CAPTION: Earl Palacios, former PAL flight attendant At the PAL Technical Centre, where most of the airline's planes have been grounded, work has started to remove logos and names on leased planes. One 747 stood just outside the PAL's hangar with PAL's name stripped from its body and the stylised version of the Philippine flag removed from its tail. On Thursday, U-S authorities seized one 747-400 in Los Angeles in an effort to recover the airline's debts to the U-S Export-Import Bank, one of the creditors. Reports on Friday night said that representatives from other companies which have leased planes to the airline have also come to Manila to get their airplanes back. Meanwhile, outside the PAL head office in Manila, the company's unions held a protest condemning chairman Tan and Philippine President Joseph "Erap" Estrada. UPSOUND: (Tagalog) "Our dear President, we respect Lucio Tan, and you, President Erap (Estrada), you say you are for the poor, we respect you, but why are you trampling on our rights?" The union said that the PAL problem remained unresolved because Estrada had refused to listen to them. SOUNDBITE: (English) "We've been asking for the President's help ever since we started our strike. But it is only now that he is saying it is a national interest, it's only now, and it's too late." SUPER CAPTION: Johnny Pintoy, former PAL pilot PAL, Asia's oldest airline, had suffered severe losses partly due to the Asian financial crisis and work stoppages. It now owes two point one (b) billion U-S dollars to foreign and local creditors. With the union's rejection of its offer, management said it was left with no option but to shut down the operation. Hi Friends, Its been a long time since I uploaded the last video. Thank you guys for your great responses. Today we are going to see how to resolve the situation where server gives a red flag with error "Automatic Refresh Failed." and "Server manager is collecting Inventory Data. The wizard will be available after data collection finishes." Generaly this error appears when you try to add/remove roles from server manager. So on my Server 2k12 which is installed on virtual machine, when I tried to add roles on it, it gave me the following error : "Server manager is collecting Inventory Data. The wizard will be available after data collection finishes." Further when I tried to refresh the server manager, it shows "Refresh Failed". No metter how many times you try to refresh it, the count of failure here increases with each click. And when you click on the Red Flag here, it shows the Automatic Refresh Failed. So this is a frustrating situation where you wont be able to add/remove roles or features or any other activity on server manager. So in order to resolve this issue, open command prompt with Administrative Rights. You can do that by right clicking on CMD and then click on "Run as Administrator". Change the default directory to C:\Windows\System32 Once you do that, type the following command. dir /a /S *.MOF This command will search all the .mof files. It is the file format for Windows Management Object files. WMI data (such as definitions of namespaces, classes, instances, or providers) are sometimes represented in MOF files. Now change the directory path to wbem by typing CD Wbem and then cd AutoRecover. now type this simple command for /f %s in ('dir /b *.mof *.mfl') do mofcomp %s and hit enter. It will Recover all the .mof files that have been currupted and created an issue with Server Manager. It will take some time to recover all the files. Once it gets completed, type Exit to close the Command Prompt. Now go to the server manager and click on Refresh Icon and then click on Red Flag to check the status. You can see the server refresh is in progress instead of giving an error "refresh failed". Now it will take some time to refresh the server and finally without giving us an error of Server Refresh failed, it successfully refresh the server, which in result allows you to install Roles and Features on server. If you like the video, please share it, provide your valuable comments in the below comments box and do not forget to hit the subscribe button. Thanks.

Been a while since I have done a tech video so I figured I would throw one together. I have seen so many overly-complicated videos and blogs about how to do such a simple thing: Enable windows Remote Management on a server (This is NOT the same thing as RDP). This video gets you up and running for the vast majority of situations in less time than it took you to read this :) Needless to say you MUST have admin rights to do this and should NOT do this with servers that are not protected from the internet by a well configured firewall.

https://www.thevenusproject.com Intro: 0:00 Part 1 6:16 Part 2 23:28 Part 3 47:03 Part 4 1:19:09 Produced/Directed by Roxanne Meadows and Joel Holt Script by Roxanne Meadows Editor Joel Holt, assisted by Roxanne Meadows & Nathanael Dinwiddie Original Score by Kat Epple This film series explores many aspects of our society. To rethink what is possible in our world, we need to consider what kind of world we want to live in. Although we refer to it as a civilization, it is anything but civilized. Visions of global unity & fellowship have long inspired humanity, yet the social arrangements up to the present have largely failed to produce a peaceful and productive world. While we appear to be technically advanced, our values and behaviors are not. The possibility of an optimistic future is in stark contrast to our current social, economic, and environmental dilemmas. The Choice Is Ours includes interviews with notable scientists, media professionals, authors, and other thinkers exploring the difficulties we face. Part I provides an introduction and overview of cultural & environmental conditions that are untenable for a sustainable world civilization. It explores the determinants of behavior to dispel the myth of “human nature” while demonstrating how environment shapes behavior. The science of behavior is an important - yet largely missing - ingredient in our culture. Part II questions the values, behaviors, and consequences of our social structures, and illustrates how our global monetary system is obsolete and increasingly insufficient to meet the needs of most people. Critical consideration of the banking, media, and criminal justice systems reveals these institutions for what they really are: tools of social control managed by the established political and economic elite. If we stay the present course, the familiar cycles of crime, economic booms & busts, war, and further environmental destruction are inevitable. Part III explains the methods and potential of science. It proposes solutions that we can apply at present to eliminate the use of non-renewable sources of energy. It depicts the vision of The Venus Project to build an entirely new world from the ground up, a “redesign of the culture”, where all enjoy a high standard of living, free of servitude and debt, while also protecting the environment. Part IV explains how it is not just architecture and a social structure that is in desperate need of change, but our values which have been handed down from centuries ago. They too need to be updated to our technological age, which has the potential to eliminate our scarcity-driven societies of today. Our problems are mostly of our own making, but we can still turn things around before the point of no return. It’s not too late for an optimistic outlook on the fantastic possibilities that lie before us. Jacque Fresco-Futurist, Industrial Designer, Social Engineer, Founder of The Venus Project Jeffrey A. The Venus Project proposes an alternative vision of what the future can be if we apply what we already know in order to achieve a sustainable new world civilization. It calls for a straightforward redesign of our culture in which the age-old inadequacies of war, poverty, hunger, debt and unnecessary human suffering are viewed not only as avoidable but as totally unacceptable. Anything less will result in a continuation of the same catalog of problems inherent in today's world. Sparked by the desperate state of the Austrians, the Russian army goes on the offensive. General Ivanov even tries to use his numerical superiority to make up for the German victories a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, the armies of the Western Front try to outflank each other as they race north to the sea. And in the North Sea itself, submarine warfare really gets going while in the air, we see airplanes used in large military operations for the first time in history. Responding to Occupy Portland's call to shut down the corporate members of the American Legislative Exchange Council, this action is being taken to halt the profit-driven operations of ALEC member G4S. This massive company operates the buses used to transport those being deported or moved between immigration detention facilities, and contributes to untold strife and devastation for those criminalized by U.S. Immigration policy. "The second largest multinational corporation after WalMart, G4S, a worldwide private security services provider, profits through the militarization of infrastructure along the U.S. Mexico border, aiding U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement in the human rights crisis perpetuated through the daily seizure, detention and criminalization of undocumented people. G4S profits additionally from the private management of prisons, into which thousands of people are streamlined daily by the U.S. prison-industrial complex and its corporate, governmental and military investors," explained Ben Lorber, a supporter of the action. Ben Lorber further stated, "Well beyond our borders, G4S bolsters and profits from state-based terror worldwide. In occupied Palestine, to cite one of many examples, the company provides private security technology and personnel for Israeli prisons, where the systematic torture of Palestinian prisoners is regularly documented by human rights organizations, and for West Bank settlements, deemed illegal and in violation of international human rights law by the United Nations Security Council and the International Court of Justice." Jonah Clarke, one of the participants in today's actions said; "Today's shutdown of G4S bus operations is part of a nation-wide day of action to shut down the corporate members of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), an organization in which corporations who stand to profit from criminalization and militarization, such as G4S, work directly with politicians to craft model legislation that puts profit over people, and bolsters the military- and prison-industrial complex while human beings are trampled underfoot. Across the country, in all our struggles, ALEC's influence is present and representative of a failed system in which power and greed are dominant over everything else. This day is part of a longer struggle against ALEC and against the white supremacist, capitalist patriarchy and the colonial state of which they are only a part. We use direct action to confront these oppressive structures and take back the power to shape our world." The G4S bus shutdown is expected to last several hours. In addition to this autonomous action, a rally in response to the Shut Down the Corporations call is scheduled for 4PM today at the Joel D. Valdez library in downtown Tucson. For video from this morning's ongoing action, see http://www.youtube.com/user/shutdownalec. 한국GM 임단협 교섭 결렬…노조, 사측 수정안에 반대 Ailing automaker GM Korea failed to reach an agreement with its labor union on Wednesday,... although it proposed a relocation program for the remaining workers at its Gunsan plant, which is scheduled to shut next month. With only a day left until the April 20th deadline set by its U.S. headquarters,... GM Korea's management and union will hold another round of talks today. Kim Hyo-sun tells us more. The ninth wage negotiation meeting between GM Korea and its labor union ended Wednesday with no agreement. GM Korea called for the union to accept by Friday a self-help package that would cut some 94 million U.S. dollars-worth of welfare costs. Friday is the deadline set by GM Korea's headquarters in the U.S. It also offered to relocate the 680 workers left at the Gunsan plant to factories in other parts of the country to ensure they are no laid off. The management explained that the plan entails voluntary retirement by its workers at the Gunsan plant,... and a gradual relocation of the remaining employees to three plants in Bupyeong and Changwon. It added that those who have been excluded from the relocation program will be put on five-year unpaid leave until the company normalizes its plant operations in 2022. The union said it cannot agree on the proposal as the company hasn't offered the exact number of employees who may be transferred nor a timeframe for the relocation. Some 19-hundred out of the 26-hundred Gunsan plant workers have already filed for the voluntary retirement program and quit the company with a severance package. With only a day remaining before the deadline,... the company and the union will meet once again on Thursday. Kim Hyo-sun, Arirang News. Harry Reid Upset about Government Shut down Congress Fails To Reach Spending Agreement A federal government shutdown officially began Tuesday morning as a deadlocked Congress failed to reach an agreement on a short-term funding measure by a 12:01 a.m. ET deadline. Government officials told agencies to begin executing plans for a shutdown -- the first in 17 years -- shortly before midnight Monday. In a memo to executive branch officers sent less than half an hour before the deadline, Office of Management and Budget director Sylvia Burwell said there was no "clear indication" that Congress would reach an agreement to keep the government's lights on. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says that Republicans in the House are representing the "Tea Party, the anarchists" of the country. "Agencies should now execute plans for an orderly shutdown due to the absence of appropriations," she wrote. "We urge Congress to act quickly to pass a Continuing Resolution to provide a short-term bridge that ensures sufficient time to pass a budget for the remainder of the fiscal year, and to restore the operation of critical public services and programs that will be impacted by a lapse in appropriations." Advertise | AdChoices "This is a sad day for America," Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said on the Senate floor. The shutdown is expected to place tens of thousands of federal workers on furlough, close national parks and monuments, and disrupt services like food assistance and IRS audits. Services like benefit payments and national security operations would go on as usual, and -- because of a bipartisan measure passed by both houses of Congress and signed into law by the president late Monday -- members of the military will continue to be paid. The new health care insurance "exchanges" mandated by the new health care law also went live even as the shutdown became official. President Obama says that despite the government shutdown service members would still be paid and that 'we'll continue working to address any impact this shutdown has on you and your families." As the clock ticked down to midnight, the House announced that it would try to shift decision-making to a bipartisan "conference" of lawmakers from both chambers, but Reid immediately rejected that plan. "We will not go to conference with a gun to our head," he said. The House formally requested the conference -- and it again approved its already-rejected budget plan -- in votes after 1 a.m. ET before recessing for the evening. The Senate will reconvene at 9:30 a.m. ET, and Reid promised to immediately table -- or kill -- the House conference plan first thing Tuesday morning

The player draft for PSL 2019 will need franchises to keep several factors in mind. Here is a quick explainer. How is this draft different from the previous one? Last year, the teams could retain only a certain number of players in each category since it was an expansion year. But this year, all teams have been given the option to retain up to 10 players across any category they want, subject to the overall category restriction, which is three players in Platinum, three in Diamond, three in Gold, five in Silver, and two in Emerging. The retention window this year closed on November 13, with Islamabad United retaining ten players, so they can pick six more from the draft. Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi and 'The Sixth Team' retained eight players each and can pick another eight on draft day. Quetta Gladiators will pick seven more to add to their nine retained players. Each of the six teams has an optional round to pick another four players from the Supplement category. How many players will be available for picking in the draft? A total of 663 foreign and local players are part of the Diamond, Gold, Silver and Emerging rosters for teams to pick their player at the draft. What is the value of each category? Platinum (US $570,000): Teams can have a maximum three players with no more than two local or foreigners. The base price $160,000 and the maximum for one player is $250,000. Diamond (US $270,000): Teams can have a maximum of three players and the base price starts from $80,000. The maximum one player can get $100,000. Gold (US $180,000): Teams can have a maximum of three players, with base price $50,000. The maximum a team can pay a player is $70,000. Silver (US $140,000): Teams can have five players with the base price being $24,000. The maximum for one player is $40,000. Emerging (US $25,000): Two players can be in a side with prices of $12,000 and $13,000 respectively. Supplement (US $175,000): This category doesn't have a maximum and minimum payroll. It's an additional round, allowing teams to pick extra players as backup. They can pick a maximum of four players from the purse of $175,000. All foreign supplementary round picks will be active members of the squad. All local supplementary round picks may be confirmed as active players at the discretion of the team. What is the "Sixth Team"? The PCB recently terminated the eight-year ownership rights of Multan Sultans after the franchise failed to pay their annual fee of US $5.2 million. The PCB repossessed the ownership rights and are reselling the rights before the start of next year's PSL. Pending further updates, the team shall be referred to as 'The Sixth Team' of the PSL. The new rights holder will have the option of choosing the sixth franchise city and name. The board took complete responsibility of all player and coach contracts, and will handover the operation to the new rights holders. How many foreign and local players can a team have in its 16-man squad? Franchises must pick at least one foreign and one local player in Platinum, meaning they can have two foreigners and one local player or vice versa. But at the conclusion of the Gold round, each team must have four foreign players and four local ones before going into the Silver round. In total, each 16-man squad can have a maximum of five foreign players only. In the Supplementary round, each team can pick up up to two foreign players, to bring their roster up to seven players at the maximum. What is the draft sequence this year? The formula that the PSL management and franchises have agreed upon is the reverse order of the previous year's standings. Islamabad United are the title holders and on top of the table, so they will be the last to pick a player in every round. Lahore Qalandars - who finished last in the 2018 season - will have first pick in each round. The Sixth Team will be second, Quetta Gladiators will be third, Karachi Kings fourth and Peshawar Zalmi will be fifth. Every team has retained players in every category. What will they do at the draft? Teams will first pick new players where applicable in a particular category. So if a team had retained three Platinum players, they can skip their turn in the Platinum round. This will be the same for every category. If a team has retained two Diamond category players going into the draft, that team will use its first pick in the Diamond category to select a new player. The retentions will be counted against the remaining picks in that category. Who traded whom before the draft? Lahore Qalandars traded Umar Akmal and Sunil Narine to Quetta Gladiators, in exchange for spinner Hassan Khan and fast bowler Rahat Ali. This trade also meant Gladiators gave up their Platinum pick to Qalandars in the first round. Both Gladiators and Qalandars also swapped their second-round picks in the Silver category. The Sixth Team, formally Multan Sultans, sold Sohail Tanvir to Quetta Gladiators for a Diamond-round pick, and bought Mohamma

Military reforms, starting in late 2008, and a well funded modernization program launched in 2011, have transformed the Russian armed forces. Far from the defunct Soviet mass mobilization army inherited in the 1990s, Moscow has restored the military as a capable instrument of national power. The driving factors in this transformation include Russian military thought on the modern character of war and lessons learned from recent combat operations in Syria and Ukraine. This lecture will explore the evolution of Russia's armed forces, offering a perspective on the transformation, and outlook on what the future holds for the Russian military. About the Speaker Michael Kofman serves as Director of the Russia Studies Program at the Center for Naval Analyses and a Fellow at the Kennan Institute, Woodrow Wilson International Center in Washington, D.C. His research focuses on the Russia and the former Soviet Union, specializing in the Russian armed forces, Russian military thought and strategy. Previously he served at National Defense University as a Program Manager, and subject matter expert, advising senior military and government officials on issues in Russia and Eurasia. Mr. Kofman's other affiliations include being a Senior Editor at War on the Rocks, where he regularly authors articles on questions of strategy, the Russian military, and foreign policy issues. Mr. Kofman has published numerous articles on the Russian armed forces, security issues in Russia/Eurasia, along with analyses for the U.S. government. He holds a M.A. in International Security from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University and a B.A. in Political Science from Northeastern University.

According to Caltrain, electrification of the tracks will allow it to improve service times via faster acceleration and shorter headways, reduce air pollution and noise, and facilitate a future railway tunnel (the Downtown Rail Extension) into downtown San Francisco's Transbay Transit Center (as diesel trains cannot serve underground stations). Proposals for electrifying the line began as early as 1992, when the California Department of Transportation conducted an early feasibility study. For two decades, the project lay dormant due to lack of funding until Caltrain agreed to share its tracks with the California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA), which was looking for a route for the constitutionally-mandated San Jose—San Francisco segment. The Authority agreed to partially fund the electrification project in exchange for rights to share the track. Construction contracts for electrification were awarded on July 2016 and groundbreaking was expected to occur in March 2017, but was delayed when the new United States Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao indefinitely deferred federal funding just before construction was about to begin. That same month, Caltrain removed the contractor responsible for implementing PTC for failure to perform on-budget and on-schedule. In May 2017, the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) announced its intention to sign the grant and reversed Secretary Chao's deferment. Construction formally began two months later. When completed, CalMod will electrify 51 miles (82 km) of tracks between 4th and King station and Tamien Station and install a PTC management system along the tracks. PTC is designed to fulfill federal safety mandates for passenger rail and is part of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) waiver to use EMUs on tracks shared with freight traffic. Funding for the project comes from various federal, state, and local sources, including from the CHSRA. Caltrain plans to complete the project by 2021, after which it plans to use double-decker EMU Stadler Rail trainsets on the electrified route. Some of the diesel locomotives will be retained for service south of Tamien.

MCSA Exam: 70-740 & 70-741 Failover clustering - a Windows Server feature that enables you to group multiple servers together into a fault-tolerant cluster - provides new and improved features for software-defined datacenter customers and many other workloads running clusters on physical hardware or in virtual machines. A failover cluster is a group of independent computers that work together to increase the availability and scalability of clustered roles (formerly called clustered applications and services). The clustered servers (called nodes) are connected by physical cables and by software. If one or more of the cluster nodes fail, other nodes begin to provide service (a process known as failover). In addition, the clustered roles are proactively monitored to verify that they are working properly. If they are not working, they are restarted or moved to another node. Failover clusters also provide Cluster Shared Volume (CSV) functionality that provides a consistent, distributed namespace that clustered roles can use to access shared storage from all nodes. With the Failover Clustering feature, users experience a minimum of disruptions in service. Failover Clustering has many practical applications, including: Highly available or continuously available file share storage for applications such as Microsoft SQL Server and Hyper-V virtual machines Highly available clustered roles that run on physical servers or on virtual machines that are installed on servers running Hyper-V What's new Cluster operating system rolling upgrades Enables an administrator to upgrade the operating system of the cluster nodes from without stopping the Hyper-V or the Scale-Out File Server workloads. When he stepped down in January 2017 as the fourth United States Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper had been President Obama's senior intelligence adviser for six and a half years, longer than his three predecessors combined. He led the US intelligence community through a period that included the raid on Osama bin Laden, the Benghazi attack, the leaks of Edward Snowden, and Russia's influence operation during the 2016 U.S. election campaign. At this Australian launch of his recent book Facts and Fears, James Clapper discusses the growing threat of cyberattacks, his relationships with presidents and Congress, and the truth about Russia's role in the presidential election. He describes, in the wake of Snowden and WikiLeaks, his efforts to make intelligence more transparent and push back against the suspicion that Americans' private lives are subject to surveillance.
