Best Documentary 2016 The World's Largest Shopping Malls Secrets Ever

43:45
Best Documentary 2016 The World's Largest Shopping Malls Secrets Ever A shopping mall is a modern, chiefly North American, term for a form of shopping precinct or shopping center, in which one or more buildings form a complex of shops representing merchandisers with interconnecting walkways that enable customers to walk from unit to unit. A shopping arcade is a specific form serving the same purpose. Many early shopping arcades such the Burlington Arcade in London, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, and numerous arcades in Paris are famous and still trading. However, many smaller arcades have been demolished, replaced with large centers or "malls", often accessible by vehicle. Technical innovations such as electric lighting and escalators were introduced from the late 19th century. From the late 20th century, entertainment venues such as movie theaters and restaurants began to be added. As a single built structure, early shopping centers were often architecturally significant constructions, enabling wealthier patrons to buy goods in spaces protected from the weather. In places around the world, the term shopping centre is used, especially in Europe, Australia, and South America. Mall is a term used predominantly in North America. Outside of North America, "shopping precinct" and "shopping arcade" are also used. In North America, Gulf countries, and India, the term shopping mall is usually applied to enclosed retail structures (and is generally abbreviated to simply mall), while shopping centre usually refers to open-air retail complexes; both types of facilities usually have large parking lots, face major traffic arterials, and have few pedestrian connections to surrounding neighbourhoods. The Dubai Mall (Arabic: دبي مول‎‎) is a shopping mall in Dubai and the largest mall in the world by total area. Along with West Edmonton Mall in Canada, it's the eighteenth largest shopping mall in the world by gross leasable area. Located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, it is part of the 20-billion-dollar Downtown complex, and includes 1,200 shops. In 2011 it was the most visited building on the planet, attracting over 54 million visitors. Access to the mall is provided via Doha Street, rebuilt as a double-decker road in April 2009. Twice delayed, Dubai Mall opened on 4th November 2008, with about 1000 retailers, marking the world's second largest-ever mall opening in retail history behind West Edmonton Mall. However it is not the largest in gross leasable space, and is surpassed in that category by several malls including the New South China Mall, which is the world's largest, albeit largely derelict, Golden Resources Mall, SM City North Edsa, and SM Mall of Asia. The Dubai Mall recorded 61,000 tickets sold for the Dubai Aquarium and Discovery Centre in the first five days, following its opening. The Dubai Mall hosted over 37 million visitors in 2009, and attracts more than 750,000 visitors every week. In 2010 it hosted 47 million, and saw footfall increase by around 27 percent over 2009, despite the economic crisis. In 2012, Dubai Mall continued to hold title of world's most-visited shopping and leisure destination, and attracted more than 65 million visitors, an increase of more than 20 percent compared to the 54 million recorded in 2011. China's "Golden Week" Holiday Chaos

04:16
Follow us on TWITTER: http://twitter.com/cnforbiddennews Like us on FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/chinaforbiddennews China's 2012 "Golden Week" was an 8-day holiday period, said to have been the longest holiday in recent history. But for many, "the longest" does not only refer to days off, but also to the traffic jams, queue lengths, and the time taken to clean the garbage and mess left over by the tourists. Some say the method the officials used to try to stimulate domestic demand destroyed the fun of traveling, saying: "Golden Week chaos into a pot of gold porridge!" Asia's 8-day "Golden Week" holiday ended on October 7th— yet it wasn't much of a relaxing break for many. 24 highways in 16 Chinese provinces saw serious congestions; 680,000 traffic accidents occurred; major tourist sites were overcrowded; and one camel in Dunhuang City even died from overwork. Gong Shengli, independent china expert, and financial and social critic, says this phenomenon happened because China's human resources are concentrated artificially— it's violating the laws of nature. [Gong Shengli, Independent China Problem Expert]: "Take the Huashan Mountain in China, for example, from ancient times until now, there's only been one path; how can it stand hundreds of thousands of people walking on it? You could say it violates the laws of nature, but officials say it can stimulate people's consumption." To stimulate travel, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) made the 7-seat minibuses 'free of charge' on highways during the major holidays, starting with the Golden Week. So on September 30th—the first day of free highway travel— numerous major highways experienced major congestion. Feng Xingyuan, deputy director of Beijing TianZe Institute of Economics, says it is predictable that canceling toll fees on highways will lead to congestion. [Feng Xingyuan, Beijing TianZe Institute of Economics]: "Canceling highway tolls causes congestion; economists predicted this result long ago—the lower the price, the greater the demand; when it's free, the demand will be the biggest. It shows that if you want to make traffic flow more smoothly than usual, you can't cut the costs; the cheaper the busier." With China's economic slowdown, there are rising concerns over whether the Chinese economy will take a "hard landing". It's led to further concerns over how much the Golden Week will stimulate domestic demand in China. Before Golden Week the China Tourism Research Institute forecasted that the holidays will see about 362-million tourists and tourism revenue would reach about 180-billion yuan; an increase of 24% from 2011. In fact, visitors ended up paying astronomical rates during Golden Week—in Lianyungang City, fried seafood noodles sold at 165 yuan (around U.S. $26) per bowl; and in Wuhan Snack St., a bowl of porridge was 50 yuan (around U.S. $8). Mr. Dong and his wife, who were Inner Mongolian tourists, were caught in gang fights and stabbed with a knife 9 times when trying to get a refund for their car ferry ticket after being stuck in Huashan Mountain. [Gong Shengli]: "Because of China's domestic demand not being sustained long-term, some proposed the idea of raising consumption, but it's encouraging wasting money; it's entirely for profit. I've been advocating this view—there's no comfort or leisure left in the Chinese holidays; just keeping on the run—there are no benefits." Lawyer, luo Wenfang, says this "holiday economy" is a waste. [Luo Wenfang, Lawyer]: "It's clearly to stimulate consumption; stimulating those who have jobs and income to consume, increasing the income of tourist sites indirectly, and solving the employment problem. But it's only several weeks annually, and after Golden Week those who make money off tourists are idle—this is a waste." This year's Golden Week chaos has made people reflect on the holiday period. Domestic media reported that paid annual-leave would be the ultimate solution; yet China's labor law had already applied 'holiday pay' in 1995 and the State Council had issued workers with the right to'paid leave' in 2008. Reality shows that the laws and regulations on workers' rights are merely empty slogans, with nothing actually materializing. 《神韵》2011世界巡演新亮点 http://www.ShenYunPerformingArts.org/

Top 10 Biggest Shopping Malls of the World | Top 10 - 2017

02:18
This is the updated list of the World's biggest mall. Wondering why the mall you expect is not in the list, just check. 10. Siam Paragon in Bangkok is one of the largest shopping malls in Thailand. It includes a wide range of specialty stores and restaurants as well as a multiplex movie theater, the Siam Ocean World aquarium, the Thai Art Gallery and an opera concert hall. It also has a large bowling alley and karaoke center. 9. Located in Kuala Lumpur, Berjaya Times Square is a twin tower complex containing a shopping center and two five star hotels. Cosmo’s World and Malaysia’s first-ever IMAX 2D & 3D theater which is located on the 10th Floor. 8. Located on the European side of Istanbul in Turkey, the Cevahir Shopping and Entertainment Centre opened its doors in 2005. It is the largest shopping mall in Europe. 7. Opened in 1991, SM Megamall in Metro Manila is one of the largest malls in the Philippines. The mall attracts daily foot traffic of 800,000 people with a maximum capacity of 4 million people. When finished, it will be able to claim the ultimate title of largest shopping mall in the Philippines. 6. The West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, was the largest shopping mall from 1981 until 2004 and is currently the largest mall in the Americas. Other attractions include an 18-hole miniature golf course, a movie theater and a bowling alley. 5. The Dubai Mall is part of the Burj Khalifa complex, the tallest man-made structure ever built. At over 12 million square feet (equivalent in size to more than 50 soccer fields), the Dubai Mall is the largest shopping mall in the world based on total area but about the same size as the West Edmonton Mall if based on leasable space. The mall also contains one of the largest aquariums in the world. 4. The SM Mall of Asia in Metro Manila, the Philippines, opened in 2006, consists of four buildings interconnected by walkways. It features a 20-seater tram which takes shoppers around the mall grounds. The mall also features an Olympic-sized ice skating rink. 3. Opened in 1990, the eight-story CentralWorld in Bangkok is the largest shopping mall in Thailand. It marketed itself as a middle class shopping center, opposed to the upper class-marketed Siam Paragon. On 19th May of this year, CentralWorld was one of the many properties set on fire by anti government protestors. The fire raged for two days and the Zen department store collapsed in the fire. After months of repair works, the shopping complex reopened on 28th September with 80% of its retail space open for business. 2. At 1.5 times the size of the Mall of America, Golden Resources Mall in China was the world’s largest shopping mall from 2004 to 2005. Another barrier was the inaccessibility of Golden Resources Shopping Mall to foreign consumers due to its location outside the heart of Beijing. 1. New South China Mall in Dongguan, China, is the largest mall in the world based on gross leasable area. It also has an indoor-outdoor roller coaster. What is doesn’t have is customers. Since its opening in 2005, the mall has suffered from a severe lack of occupants. Much of the retail space has remained empty, with over 99% of the stores vacant. The only occupied areas of the mall are near the entrance where several Western fast food chains are located. It has been nicknamed the largest ghost mall in the world. Keywords: Siam Paragon, the Cevahir, SM Megamal, The West Edmonton Mall, Dubai Mall, SM Mall, CentralWorld, Golden Resources Mall, New South China Mall, The biggest mall, largest mall, biggerst mall ever, giant mall, thailand, siam, bangkok, Times Square The ranking has been provided by: http://www.touropia.com/largest-malls-in-the-world/ NoCopyrightSounds is the record label that connects content creators with the finest sounds to enhance the creativity and popularity of their content which is safe from any copyright infringement Song: Disfigure - Blank [NCS Release] Music provided by NoCopyrightSounds. Subscribe to France 24 now : http://f24.my/youtubeEN FRANCE 24 live news stream: all the latest news 24/7 http://f24.my/YTliveEN In May 1966, as part of the Cultural Revolution, China's communist leader Mao Zedong declared war on bourgeois ideology. Through show trials, humiliation and mass murder, the Red Guards imposed a reign of terror in the name of Maoism. It took the death of Mao himself to end a decade of political fanaticism that claimed millions of lives. Fifty years on, the survivors remain traumatised. From 1966 to 1976, China was gripped by a horrific form of political terror. The Cultural Revolution tore families apart and killed millions, all in the name of Maoism. Anyone who dared criticize Chairman Mao was arrested. For the majority of people in China who lived through it, the period remains taboo. Most of Mao’s atrocities remain hidden, but the father of the Cultural Revolution is still worshipped. Mao Zedong was born in Shaoshan, a small village in the southern province of Hunan. There, he is still honored as a hero. For many, Shaoshan is not just a place of historical curiosity, but more of a place of worship and a 15-metre statue of Mao still stands there. Despite the millions of victims created during the Cultural Revolution, the Great Helmsman's official status is still not up for debate. According to the official historical review undertaken by the Communist Party, Mao Zedong was 70% right and only 30% wrong. To this day in China, this official leadership report card has not been debated. The Cultural Revolution may have ended 40 years ago, but many people in China still feel some nostalgia towards that time, as can be seen by a visit to Panjiayuan, a Beijing antique market. Many of the symbols of those years are still on sale at the market, including the most famous one: the little Red Book. The market is full of curiosities from the Cultural Revolution showing an idyllic image of a united country, where everyone worked for the greater good. None of the propaganda found there contains any mention of the violence. On the contrary, the Cultural Revolution is often portrayed as a type of Golden Age. The market in the heart of Beijing is supposed to celebrate the past. But today, a new face has emerged: that of Xi Jinping. The latest Helmsman of the Communist Party of China became president in 2013. Many consider him China's most powerful leader since Mao himself. Genghis Khan - Rise Of Mongol Empire - BBC Documentary - by roothmens

*All rights are reserved to the song owners or licensed.* * It is not intended to violate copyrighted material, which all belongs to its receptive owners. This Video Is Entertainment Purpose Only.* Genghis Khan ] Mongolian. 1162 – August 18, 1227, born Temüjin, was the founder and Great Khan (Emperor) of the Mongol Empire, which became the largest contiguous empire in history after his death. He came to power by uniting many of the nomadic tribes of Northeast Asia. After founding the Empire and being proclaimed "Genghis Khan", he started the Mongol invasions that conquered most of Eurasia. Campaigns initiated in his lifetime include those against the Qara Khitai, Caucasus, and Khwarazmian, Western Xia and Jin dynasties. These campaigns were often accompanied by wholesale massacres of the civilian populations – especially in the Khwarazmian and Western Xia controlled lands. By the end of his life, the Mongol Empire occupied a substantial portion of Central Asia and China. Before Genghis Khan died, he assigned Ögedei Khan as his successor and split his empire into khanates among his sons and grandsons. He died in 1227 after defeating the Western Xia. He was buried in an unmarked grave somewhere in Mongolia. His descendants extended the Mongol Empire across most of Eurasia by conquering or creating vassal states in all of modern-day China, Korea, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and substantial portions of modern Eastern Europe, Russia, and Southwest Asia. Many of these invasions repeated the earlier large-scale slaughters of local populations. As a result, Genghis Khan and his empire have a fearsome reputation in local histories. Beyond his military accomplishments, Genghis Khan also advanced the Mongol Empire in other ways. He decreed the adoption of the Uyghur script as the Mongol Empire's writing system. He also practiced meritocracy and encouraged religious tolerance in the Mongol Empire while unifying the nomadic tribes of Northeast Asia. Present-day Mongolians regard him as the founding father of Mongolia. Although known for the brutality of his campaigns and considered by many to have been a genocidal ruler, Genghis Khan is also credited with bringing the Silk Road under one cohesive political environment. This brought communication and trade from Northeast Asia into Muslim Southwest Asia and Christian Europe, thus expanding the horizons of all three cultural areas. Main article: Mongol military tactics and organization Reenactment of Mongol battle Genghis Khan put absolute trust in his generals, such as Muqali, Jebe and Subutai, and regarded them as close advisors, often extending them the same privileges and trust normally reserved for close family members. He allowed them to make decisions on their own when they embarked on campaigns far from the Mongol Empire capital Karakorum. Muqali, a trusted lieutenant, was given command of the Mongol forces against the Jin dynasty while Genghis Khan was fighting in Central Asia, and Subutai and Jebe were allowed to pursue the Great Raid into the Caucasus and Kievan Rus', an idea they had presented to the Khagan on their own initiative. While granting his generals a great deal of autonomy in making command decisions, Genghis Khan also expected unwavering loyalty from them. The Mongol military was also successful in siege warfare, cutting off resources for cities and towns by diverting certain rivers, taking enemy prisoners and driving them in front of the army, and adopting new ideas, techniques and tools from the people they conquered, particularly in employing Muslim and Chinese siege engines and engineers to aid the Mongol cavalry in capturing cities. Another standard tactic of the Mongol military was the commonly practiced feigned retreat to break enemy formations and to lure small enemy groups away from the larger group and defended position for ambush and counterattack. Another important aspect of the military organization of Genghis Khan was the communications and supply route or Yam, adapted from previous Chinese models. Genghis Khan dedicated special attention to this in order to speed up the gathering of military intelligence and official communications. To this end, Yam waystations were established all over the empire. In addition to most of the Mongol nobility up to the 20th century, the Mughal emperor Babur's mother was a descendant. Timur (also known as Tamerlane), the 14th century military leader, and many other nobilities of central Asian countries claimed descent from Genghis Khan. During the Soviet purge most of the Mongol nobility in Mongolia were purged.

Terracotta Warriors 3D Stage Show trailer in Beijing

00:16
www.BeijingEntertainment.net CAPITAL CITY READY TO HOST WORLD'S FIRST 3D STAGE SHOW Witnessing a first occurrence of anything in human history is rare and for something to happen first in Beijing is also a feat that is hard to fathom. Yet, on Sept 2, the action-musical, Terracotta Warriors 3D, will open at the Da Yin Theater in Beijing and will be the first 3D theatrical performance in the world. No other show has ever combined 3D set design, high definition 3D motion pictures and a troupe of live-action performers on stage. The 3D theatrical production will be made possible by the use of a high-definition LED video wall that will give the audience a 3D viewing experience using common polarized 3D glasses. The new technology was created, manufactured and patented in China by Li Chao, a professor at Zhengzhou University. Terracotta Warriors 3D is expected to immerse the audience in an entertainment experience that has never been attempted before on stage. The unprecedented theatrical concept is made possible by both the creative and financial resources of Sight, Sound & Action, a theatrical production company headquartered in the United States in Denver, Colorado. Dennis Law, CEO and president of the company, said he selected the subject of the terracotta warriors for their global reputation and a symbol that can be understood by foreigners. He said his latest show would set new standards for theatrical art direction and was a result of multi-cultural collaboration across the Pacific Ocean. Terracotta Warriors 3D is a meaningful and engaging story of love, power and transformation. It tells the tale of Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first emperor in China to found a country in 221BC. The story is told in a non-traditional manner as the audience sees the monarch through the eyes of the emperor's famous eunuch, Zhao Gao. Castrated by the emperor who was his childhood best friend, Zhao Gao served his master in a faithful but conflicted way. He witnessed the Qin emperor's powers and weaknesses, his loves and his fears, his cruelty and his human frailties. Finally, it was the emperor's sudden and unexpected death that allowed Zhao Gao to be freed from his emotional and spiritual bondage and he transformed into a new man. The show is expected to be a unique and thrilling journey through musical theater. Law welcomes people to watch Terracotta Warriors 3D and to be one of the first to experience the unique event in Beijing. "After all, in a place as unlikely as China, when would you ever get another invitation to be part of something that has never been seen before in human history?" he said. [email protected]
