This was recorded by pointing a camera at an iPad in a dark room, so the video quality is iffy. My previous video on iOS bMail recommended setting up an account of type GMail. This worked fine for Calendars and Mail, but didn't sync Contacts. This version (updated April 2013)features another option, Exchange, which does let one sync all three.

An exciting feature of the new iPhone 3G is that it allows you to hook up with MS Exchange as soon as you remove it from the box. This means you'll be able to wirelessly push company email, calendar events, and contacts to your iPhone over a secure, encrypted connection. Imagine, your own mobile office all contained in one convenient location.

Setup your Exchange Email on your iPhone Welcome to the Braintek video tutorials. My name is Greg, owner of Braintek. Today, I’m going to show you how to add your exchange email to your iPhone. So from your iPhone, open up your ‘Settings,’ add an account, and choose ‘Exchange.’ Go ahead and type in your email address. Type in your password. Click ‘Next.’ Type in your Server name. Type in the Domain, which is not always required and type in your User Name. Click ‘Next.’ If we get everything right, we should see a bunch of check marks. Here we can decide which options we want to sync. In this case, we’re going to sync our mail. We’re not going to do our contacts. We’re going to do our calendars, reminders, notes. If we turn on the contacts, it will tell us we need to delete what’s on the phone. So if you’re prepared to do that, I would certainly encourage that. I think it’s better to maintain contacts through Outlook, but in this case, we’re going to choose no. We’re going to ‘Save’ it. Your account has been added. We’re going to go back out. Open up your email. Here we have some new emails that were sent earlier today. So we can compose a new email. Go ahead and send that. We should get a new email here in a moment. Thank you for watching the Braintek video tutorials. Check out our other videos on the Braintek channel and have a great day!
