Homeschool lesson planning is kinda a hobby for me (yes, I'm that lame). The process I'm going to share with you is a long one. I tried to edit this video down as much as possible, but I wanted to show you guys everything! A couple of things I want to mention...the lighting gets a little weird sometimes. I tried fixing it during the editing process, but I don't think it worked. I filmed this over a couple of hours with multiple lights going, but I kept going in/out of the room and forgetting to turn all of the lights on whenever I started filming again. I don't think it's awful, but I don't love it. Still, it gives you a look at how I lesson plan for our homeschool, and that was the point. Nigel Has A Testy Exchange With A Remainer Who Has A Lesson For The Hard Brexiteers
Nigel wanted to talk about the upcoming speech by Theresa May about the future of Brexit. But Russel had different ideas, instead deciding to give hard Brexiteers "a lesson." Russell argued that hard Brexiteers are saying "let's leave the EU and that's it just finish." He asked Nigel whether he agreed with his stance. Nigel said that "nobody started with that position," but given the where the negotiations are that is what many think now. Russell wasn't happy with Nigel's answer imploring him to "please answer my question." He continued, "people are saying get out let's leave the EU we don't need them lets just go straight to WTO." Nigel said that the Brexit argument was simply that he wanted to "leave the EU and be an independent country, simple as that." He continued, "there are many of us... who think that we should stop wasting our time and just do it." Russell complained that Nigel "kept talking over him." He said that that joining the WTO and international law meant that the UK would be left with hard borders. He went on to complain that Nigel didn't want any immigration into the country, something Nigel said was "false." Nigel asked Russell whether it had occurred to him that a lot of British trade came from outside of the EU and we were able to manage with their goods coming in.

Lesson 2 - Pair characteristics (the majors and the crosses)
Understanding Forex Pairs Forex pairs are divided into two broad categories. There are the majors that include the most frequently traded and most liquid currency pairs and the crosses. The majors all include the USD as either the base or quote currency. The cross currency pairs do not include the dollar because they "cross" two other currencies with each other. The Majors The most actively traded currency pairs are the majors. These are all crossed with the USD and make up the majority of annual trading volume in the forex market. For example, according to the Bank for International Settlements the EUR/USD makes 27% of all forex trading alone. If you combined the trading volume of the EUR/USD with the GBP/USD and the USD/JPY you would have captured 52% of annual trading volume. Most traders start their forex career by becoming familiar with the most popular majors before beginning to trade the crosses or smaller major pairs.

Wire is an amazing art medium — it can be bent to form a variety of lines, shapes, letters, and images, outlining patterns in the way that individual pieces of fabric make up each square in a traditional quilt. Elementary-age students can work easily with chenille stems and colorful plastic-coated wire while older students will create art with soft steel, aluminum, and copper wire. Movement Exchange at UCSD - Big Ideas Video Contest 2017
The chopsticks came out and all the kids began to laugh. Chinita, chinita! It was September 2016, and the rain and sweat drenched our Movement Exchange shirts as we gathered at the Panama City Aldea SOS orphanage for our first dance lesson - a Mongolian chopsticks dance. Although cautioned that the kids liked to make fun of Asians in past years, our class ended up making a real difference. Movement Exchange is a global community of dance diplomats creating positive social change through dance. The UCSD chapter was founded last year, and notably brought diverse cultural dance to partnered orphanages in Panama for the first time this summer. Dance education benefits child development and cross-cultural understanding, particularly in the second largest city in California, San Diego that is cross-border and majority minority by census. Our group has researched dance education and the San Diego community extensively, and are currently piloting partnerships with two local organizations for marginlized youth. This project will develop the first evidence-based curriculum for free and child-friendly culture and dance lessons, by a diverse team of dancers. The team intends to test lesson plans on dance and cross-cultural understanding, host an inaugural community-sponsored cultural showcase focused on social inclusion, and then share the project internationally throughout the Movement Exchange network to encourage global citizenship in children in the U.S. and eventually worldwide.

Chess opening lesson on French Exchange Scandinavian system inc. tactics + themes + traps
This video demonstrates an aggressive, counter-attacking line for Black in the French Exchange, after 1.e4 e6, 2.d4 d5, 3 exd, Qxd5!? -- a mix of French and Scandinavian ideas. In the game, the system is used to good effect against a much, much stronger opponent. The usual moves include b6/Bb7/c6 with Qc7/Bd6 and Nbd7/Nf6 intending 0-0-0. The basic idea is to fianchetto Black's light-square bishop and, when White captures on f6, accept double-pawns on the f-file -- and use the g-file for Black's heavy pieces. This is far from a foolproof system but, if White underestimates the position, Black gets double batteries of Qc7/Bd6 plus 2 rooks on the g-file. If you're looking for dynamic counter-play as Black, give it a whirl; it's a lot of fun!

Ripple & XRP | A lesson to Learn From Amazon | and Satis FUD
What lessons can the be learned form Amazon that will help advance XRP and the Ripple Ecosystem with Codius, Coil and Interledger? Does the Satis FUD on XRP value dropping to .01 help or hurt XRP? Is this a legit form of marketing or does Satis have a nefarious motivation behind this Clickbait? We know that Amazon is going to get involved and transition over to a Blockchain technology. Will they develop their own from scratch, buy existing technologies like they have done over the years, or, will they build on an existing platform that checks most of the boxes. Could they consider the Ripple Ecosystem (XRP, Codius, Coil, Interledger). It makes so much sense that they would partner with a solution that actually offers a real working model. 4th Graders Taught They Should Give Up Constitutional Rights In Exchange for Safety
A Florida elementary school teacher's lesson on the First Amendment has some parents speaking out. Amy Harvey says she opened her fourth-grader's backpack and found a sheet of paper on which he wrote, "I am willing to give up some of my constitutional rights in order to be safer or more secure." Father Aaron Harvey says he was so angry that his blood pressure was high for a few days. His son said that his teacher at Cedar Hills Elementary in Jacksonville, Cheryl Sabb, asked he and some other students to write the statement. The school district's superintendent expressed "possible concern [...] with a follow-up activity that may have been conducted after the lesson," explaining that the approved First Amendment curriculum was created with the help of local attorneys. The Harveys say they, and other parents, plan to meet with Sabb about the lesson.

WSBI Exchange #2: Teaching money & banking basics through SchoolBank
WSBI Exchange, episode #2, released in July 2017 talks about a new study from WSBI and Child Youth Finance International that looks at SchoolBank. Transcript: What’s a proven way to teach money and banking basics to young people? The classroom… that’s where. This is Exchange – WSBI’s news roundup. Learning to handle one’s personal finances works best at an early age. Lessons in the classroom can help. A new study jointly done by WSBI and Child and Youth Finance International tells how. Throughout the world, young people are first exposed to budgeting, spending and saving in their homes, amongst friends, and on Web. But a more powerful path is at school –through SchoolBank. The WSBI-CYFI paper explores the classroom based programme: how it works and how it brings together schools, teachers, and locally focused banks to teach children and young adults to better know their way around money. The results have paid dividends. SchoolBank boosts chances of children and young people getting a banking account and using it as adults. That’s big because active accounts underpin WSBI’s goal of an account for everyone. The report draws on case studies from WSBI members in five countries to tell how. On the ground, children and youth-friendly bank accounts are given out, oftentimes the first “touch” with a bank. Kids are taught the why and how to save. Kids also learn what it means to be economic citizens. The findings give a strong case for more banks to take part. The authors hope policymakers take note. How has SchoolBank boosted financial inclusion in your area? Let us know in the YouTube comment box. For more info, visit us online.
