Voltage and current regulator static setup

0 ratings | 252 views
Op amp driving darlington directly to give voltage regulation. High side current sense resistor connected to instrumentation amplifier built from three opamps , amplifier provides about twice voltage across r sense. ?. feeds into op amp comparator with adjustable voltage think 12 volts or maybe five volts. Anyway when current limit reached opamp pulls voltage opamp down towards ground. Diode included stop current op amp from driiving voltage up and prevent oscillations I guess . Small bulb included to give indication entered current limiting. Also can see constant current sink using irlz 44 n channel mosfet , op amp here is running off unregulated five volts. Darlington can get warm. Resistors are each 10 ohm 7 watt rated. Designs not too bad really.
