I added these to my 2016 Goldwing which also has the Tridium DRL fog lights. Using your video for the Sequential LED turn signals/DRL by pathfinder I was able to install these with no problem. I also installed the flasher that came with the turn signals. What I notice now is that when I press the brakes, the DRL's on the Tridium lights blink for just a split second. More of a "flash" to be honest. Any idea what could be causing this? I intend to trouble shoot this later by unplugging the DRL turn signals from the factory wiring, but I can if needed record the event and show any area's of wiring concern. I did not cut any wires and followed every step by your video so I was hoping if you didn't know, maybe someone else here or in your network might.

Have you contacted Show Chrome support about this?

UPDATE: Here's another tip I discovered for getting a stubborn factory mirror screw to loosen. Before you start cranking on it too hard and strip out the head. Insert the screwdriver tip into the screw and give the screwdriver a pretty firm smack with a hammer. That little smack can help loosen the screw. Sounds crazy, but it seems to help. ALSO: The Posi-Tap wire connector shown at 5:54 is NO LONGER PROVIDED because it is not necessary.

ok, thx

Unfortunately, no. These are specific to the GL1800.

The "phillips" screws securing the mirrors are actually "JIS" (Japanese Industrial Screw). You can purchase JIS screwdrivers, or you can take a decent quality phillips screwdriver and grind the very tip off.

A good tip (no pun intended).

I recently installed these and let me tell you I love them. my one question is does the drl's suppose to be on when the key is in accessory?

I recently installed mine and they remain on in ACC.

I don't think so, but I will double-check mine in the morning just to make sure. I know my trunk spoiler LED lights up in ACC.

You said the flasher was optional to install. If you don't install it what is the disadvantages?
Dicarlos Crayton (1 year ago)
Ok. That might look cool and be more attentive
